Yet another Origin fail. I bought it through Origin, after wavering on the fence and not pre-ordering BF3.

The Browser interface says I have Karkand enabled, yet I cannot join any games... luckily I googled before I raged, EA Forums and most other places are full of complaints about this shoddy system.

Also luckily, the fix is easy, if really, really indicative of poor implementation.

Non-Preorder + Bought Back to Karkand in Origin -> Log OUT in browser, then log back in.

Forget the fact that some non-Bioware renamed studio is making a C&C Generals sequel for a second.

Surely it is a sign of the apocalypse that people are:

A) expressing favorable opinions of DoW 2,
B) Think DoW 2 is an RTS that should be emulated in any way in other games.

As much as I like directing hate to Blizzard and other mega-companies, if you've played the beta at all, or even browsed through the beta forums, a lot of the game is unfinished, most notably the rune system. I'm assuming itemization isn't quite nailed down either, but who knows.

That said, I don't plan on using any Auction Houses in Diablo 3, and sure as shit don't plan on using Battle.net Balance, but it CANNOT possibly be any more evil than Paypal.

Hrm, apparently Trine 2 on Gamersgate still uses Steamworks as its DRM... guess it'll be a Steam purchase for me then. No point in getting charged 30 cents for "foreign credit services" on my bullshit credit card.

I on the other hand will be buying this immediately, Trine 1 was great, even on their ridiculously small budget.

Same, I have played enough Killing Floor 1, it becomes too much of a grind after awhile.

That said, best shooting mechanics in any game in a long time. Hopefully Tripwire actually makes KF2, instead of more WW2 realism stuff.

Looking at my earliest save game I still have, from my first playthrough, and the timestamp on my install files from Gamersgate, sometime before June 6, 2011.

I am relatively sure, it being 5+ months later now, that I did buy it for under 5 dollars, because it was the first thing I ever bought off Gamersgate, a site I had barely even heard of previously. I am not sure where to look it up, but I remember it being like a 80%-90% off sale, it was either 3.99 or 4.99 for a short period.

I was also skeptical of Dead Space 2 back when it came out, having played the PC version of Dead Space 1 with it's bullshit controls, so there was no way I was paying anything even close to 10 dollars for it, from a service entirely new to me. For the record, DS2's controls are MUCH better!

If gamersgate stores the price you bought stuff at I guess I could look it up, but this has already been entirely more trouble than it's worth, for both of us, haha.

Actually, no, it has been on sale for $10 not $5. This is the first time it has ever hit $5 and only Steam and Amazon downloads have it at that price.

2) Divinity II, I am halfway to buying this, enjoying the demo so far(although archery seems overpowered), but I wonder if it'll just end up being a huge open world slog like Oblivion, where you can annihilate everything after a few levels with no challenge, leading to massive boredom... how is this game in the late game?

Well, I heard it was basically unplayable with keyboard and mouse, also more than a few people getting crashes and/or totally unable to play, but apparently that's just the loud minority on the Steam forums.

I may wait until it hits 75% off though, still playing through a ton of stuff, and just added Orcs Must Die! ugh.

Anybody have Renegade Ops? Have they fixed the crazy controls yet? For people who obscenely want to play with a mouse and keyboard on the PC, of course, if you are using a gamepad, no comments please.

Also, is it just me, or does Orcs Must Die feel pretty weak after playing some Dungeon Defenders? I think if I had not been playing Dungeon Defenders I would have already bought OMD, but now...

It's probably a tax issue. I've noticed when I buy things from Gamersgate(UK based) or GoG.com(Poland?) I get charged a foreign tax fee on my credit card. I assume the retailers get charged something along the same lines...?

Amazon, rightfully so, is against any sort of taxes whatsoever. It's probably to avoid taxation getting anywhere near their billion dollar empire, so yeah, they are going to lose out on some online sales.

Of course this is all conjecture on my part, I may be entirely wrong.
