It'll make sense in game if you end up getting Riftbreaker: Geothermal power stations require water, but most of the planet seems to just have muddy water or some sort of slime, so you need to build filtration stations. However if you do NOT, at least right away, and connect mud/sludge/slime pipes to geothermal stations, they still seem to work, but adding in a filtration system later does not remove the mud/slime from the pipes or power station. It seems like a bug to me, because the clean water sometimes goes a few pipe segments up, then it just ends up being dirty near the power station, at least graphically, not sure if it's just not getting updated correctly. It could also be intended, like you've damaged/tainted your high tech power station and now it's permanently weaker or something.

The fix currently seems to be just sell all the dirty pipes and power stations and rebuild.

I bought this... I had played the demo months (or a year?) ago, and found it to be right up my alley; some isometric shooting, lots of building and base defense, and some 'survival-ish' gathering and researching.

I have found a possible bug or feature though: Mud to pipes to Geothermal power stations... it 'contaminates' everything, even if you plunk down water filtration systems later in the middle, you have to sell every pipe and power station, they are all 'mud'. Not sure it changes much, but it may become an issue later.

Well, this is vague enough to say almost nothing, but I'll at least check out whatever they eventually produce, I guess?

Another gorgeous video, but I don't think I'll be playing too much of this mode. Bring 3 FPS friends and make us all want to kill each other in real life, after a few maps? Yeah, I'll stick to Conquest Large, or whatever it's going to be called in BF2042.

This is like the third story I've read/heard about where somebody was in there house and nearly got hit, or was hit and bruised a bit, by a meteorite. That's over 40+ years so that's not too bad, but you'd think somebody somewhere would have been struck in the head and killed by a meteorite by now? Odds have to be.... astronomical, of course.

I would love to know how the Gruden e-mails got leaked and why nothing else was leaked.

It wasn't a leak apparently, but uncovered during an investigation by the NFL into someone else. Be careful who you send your racist and homophobic emails to I guess?

Yeah I thought this was already on the news, I am pretty sure I heard it on ESPN: during an investigation into the Washington Football Team, Gruden's emails from around 2018 were uncovered, where he described league management and some players via derogatory racist/homophobic terms.

I've had this on my wishlist, but I'm probably going to hold off for awhile, since they are saying that single player progression is separate from your multiplayer progression/unlocks? Unforgivable, especially if single player has to be online also.

Sometimes I just want to shoot some zombies at 3AM with some bot partners, and not have regrind the same shit later with a human team.

Kurzgesagt is great, especially considering how much shit video content is churned out these days; they are a serious treat for pretty much any audience.

I do have an irrational impression of the Kurzgesagt narrator being slightly pompous, but it's most likely just his accent.

It's been a decade at least, but I thought archeologists/biologists paleontologists had pretty much agreed on T-Rex having some feathers? Maybe it was a different dinosaur.

*EDIT* Not archeologists, paleontologists. I was off by millions of years.

I didn't play the beta, but I heard they got rid of a lot of the real advancements in BFV, namely most of the movement system and first person takedown/kill/and other animations, as well as the whole building fortifications system.

I'll still check out the retail version, but it sounds like they just dropped a lot of stuff that the previous games in the series got right.

It amazes me how people can be more upset about a video game than the Bush Administration's decision to invade foreign countries.

Meh, a person can be angry about both, but one of these is brand new.

It really is amazing what James Ryan has accomplished since that squad almost got completely wiped out saving his life in WW2.

Well, congrats to Frank Miller for ripping off some suckers, but I sure hope their hyperlink doesn't decay in the next 5 years. What an expensive mistake that would be.

I was fully addicted to D2LoD, then D2LoD modded, then D3. I don't think I can go back to any of them now, though. Literally burned out.

I await D4 with great anticipation though!

Well, congrats on the promotion. Who got axed due to some probable participation in the Bill Cosby room, again?

Hopefully Diablo 4 turns out to be a fun game; I ended up putting quite a few hours into D3, through the various incarnations. It definitely got better over time though.

Hrm, so two DLCs out for WL3 now, I may have to reinstall. It's a little unclear though if you basically have to start a new game for these two DLCs? It doesn't seem like post-normal end game content.

Come to think of it, it's probably time to reinstall PoEt 2 also, I finished that before all the DLCs were out. More isometric RPGs after I finish Pathfinder:WotR, apparently.

I bought the original version on some mega sale, and loved it, far beyond whatever expectations I had. Interesting story, great music, acceptable combat, nice overall design.

If people never played the original they should definitely get the remaster, at least on sale.
