The only thing stopping BoP from posting is BoP.
Cutter, you got to be trolling.
Maybe you haven't been keeping up with current events of the last decade but no, I'm not. Why else do you think liberalism is failing the world over? Normal people are sick and tired of it. You want heroes of color, a different sexual orientation? Go for it. Just create your own shit and leave ours alone. Either that or stfu about co-opting culture. Either everything's sacred or nothing is. Pick one.
I feel like you are are always on the cusp of realizing the fatal flaws in your thinking, but you never seem to. Clearly you can easily (maybe only?) relate to characters that are also white. How do you think the majority of the world feels (who are not white) when every damn movie and show is nothing but white people with maybe one token black or other non-white character? Why do you feel threatened/angered/confused/whatever by a fictional character being a different skin color, or one who isn't heterosexual? It's also not your own shit, it's Neil Gaiman's story, and in this case, the rights were purchased by Netflix, so they can do whatever they want with the characters or whatever else. All you, or anyone can really do, is watch it or not watch it. You have no racial ownership(or dare I say, white privilege?) over anything here. Nor does anyone else. Neil Gaiman isn't on your 'team' any more than he's on the team of any other human.
All of that said, Netflix has been mostly missing lately, I don't have high hopes for them making something great with live action, out of a truly excellent comic. Good luck though!
