Welp, guess I should finish up Cyberpunk 2077 now then. I'm on the last mission, just doing side mission shit, then I can uninstall, and reinstall in a year or so and replay. It'll be like a new game.

Cool, I'll be able to get a new video card for a reasonable price in about 2023 at this rate.

Wonder Woman 1984 was an atrocity. It was mind boggingly bad. I can't even fathom the decision making that must have gone into writing the plot. They could have just taken a classic Max Lord storyline and had a badass movie, but no, they had to countermand the first movie, and make terrible decision after terrible decision. Also, mindrape.

Of course it's just a DC movie, so what was I expecting?

Completely off topic for anything.. but I was wondering if anybody knows what happened to Creston? He commented pretty much daily until December 2019 and not a word after that!

Statistically, at least a few Bluesnewsers have gotten seriously ill or died from Covid19 by now. Or just other aspects of life intruding into video game website posting time, maybe nothing dramatic.

Sigh. Time to chalk up my hands and prepare to climb some towers.

Haha! I was too late to make this exact comment.

That said, I've gotten a lot of hours out of the Ubisoft formula games, so I'm cautiously interested.

Massive Games didn't have towers....

No towers in Division 1 and 2, yes, but plenty of busy work. Enjoyable busy work, I loved Division 2 especially to log about 800 hours, of very repetitive but enjoyable grind.

70k, good start, now just suspend every other Twitter account there is, and call it a day. Then Facebook, Imgur, Gab, you name it.

Social media being shutdown entirely would be enormously beneficial for the human race. The past 10 years or so have shown that most people cannot filter out propaganda and lies at all, we're at the brink of death for the USA as a functional democracy as it is.

Then humanity can start working on cleaning up the televised propaganda. That'll probably take the rest of our natural lives.

Two guesses for locked bitcoins? Kiss that $240m goodbye. There have probably been billions of dollars worth of bitcoins lost at this point. Satoshi Nakamoto (whoever that may be, person or persons) probably already lost most of his/their bitcoins. Just, evaporated, passwords forgotten, or lost due to degradation of harddrives.

A much bigger and more immediate problem is still present: multiple armed attacks are planned before the 20th, being organized initially on Parler, now on various other services. Unfortunately the US is going to simply be too slow to shut down Gab and everything else even if they understood these other forums/programs, there will probably be gun battles in a half dozen cities before the 21st.

Really, the USA is never going to recover from the damage Trump and the Republicans have caused, and people are worried about corporate censorship, rofl.

"Why no one should be worried about Parler being booted from AWS, Apple and Google" fixed that article title for you. Because Parler (or anyone else) can always find alternate hosting, or host themselves. Expensive, but not illegal or even prohibited. Why should any business be forced to broadcast somebody's hate speech? Answer: in the USA you can be dropped at any time from any business. Thanks, conservatives.

Don't worry fascists, Gab and other less public social media toilets still exist. Go there.

Yes, I love it. Keep flushing it down the tubes.

I'd say these BTC comments didn't age well but when you guys posted this comment it had already had a major recovery.

Even if Bitcoin doesn't recover enough to convince people to buy/invest more into it, some other coin will pop up as the cryptocoin savior. Tulip bulb currency isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Can you imagine living in a country right now, where the biggest(or at least, newest) concern is the government 'checking' with a company about a video game that cost $60 USD, and was already refunded to most people who weren't satisfied? Wow, that must be amazing.

/wistful/

I know, right? Which means Twitter and Facebook and all the other social media apps should have been shut down this summer as well.

Everyone is OK with censoring people they disagree with. Just wait until it's your opinion they disagree with and you get censored. I don't agree with either side, since they are both full of self-serving politicians just looking to get rich and powerful off the backs of the people. The logic defying twists both sides play trying to redefine reality is just mind blowing.

As others have said, this is not a censorship issue, at least in the classic legal definition of protected free speech in the USA. This is a business deciding to no offer service to a customer. Why do you hate capitalism and the free market all of a sudden? Clearly I am exaggerating, but you see that the government is not involved in censoring anyone, this customer, Parler, has just pissed off their provider, AWS, and is getting removed. They can go build their own servers or get another provider. Unfortunately for Parler and the frothing conspiracy theorists that inhabit it, they are unappealing as customers to most businesses. You may be unsurprised to learn that the attorneys representing Parler have also all removed themselves from the company.

The Polish government is getting involved?!? What the fuck is going on, on this fucking planet? Tens of thousands of people dying every day from Covid19, possibly millions of new infections every day worldwide, and any government is spending one iota of time on this fucking video game!?!

Clearly I am living in some sort of simulated Hell or Twilight Zone.

You do know that just because there is a pandemic going on doesn’t mean that CPAs, lawyers, and fraud investigators are going to stop working and being paid, right? Governments can do more than one thing at a time. They do many things at all times.

Why do I have to explain this?

Well of course governments can do multiple things simultaneously. However, as wtf_man said, it's not like refunds were not offered here. I don't speak/read Polish unfortunately, so I can't peruse the source article, but it would make a lot more sense if the Polish government was concerned about investor fraud or something, not some people who had a bad experience playing a video game and got a refund. This feels like a publicity stunt or more likely a shakedown, more than anything else, but I admit to not knowing the general state of Polish affairs.

I would guess CDPR is big enough (or is seen as being big enough) to start making some donations to Polish politicians. Regularly.

70TB, wow, people need to get the fuck off of social media, period. You're clogging up my bandwidth that should be used for porn and video games with your conversational bullshit.

This is just another attempt by the corrupt left wing tech companies to stifle conservative christian conversation. What they are doing is disgusting and I'm not going to take it any more. There's nothing going on in Parler that's hate speech or anything else it's just a group of people wanting to have a Twitter like experience without having some sort of disclaimer on the bottom or worried about their accounts getting banned or anything else.

Sheesh, how do people NOT consider the thousands (tens of thousands?) of death threats and calls for the violent overthrow of the government, along with the murder and torture of anyone they disagree with, hate speech?

Also, so much for businesses being able to deny service at any point, for any reason. Those anti-gay bakers are going to be pissed.
