Ah, Britain. People forget their tendency to 1984 the fuck out of their people. They've had cameras pretty much everywhere public or semi-public for decades. I'm sure the pro-Bexit voters were too ignorant or "well I'm not the one they are looking for"-ish to care.

Really, REALLY hope they tone down the voice chatter. The voice acting isn't exactly great, but I could deal with hearing one of those lines every few minutes. But every 10 seconds? Ugh. I was done with it after a minute.

Looks like they nailed the environments though. I'm probably gonna get killed from just standing around admiring the architecture too much.

According to posts on the Steam forums (Reposting various Twitter links from the developers) that is a bug, the AI players will not be talking that much in the live game.

I can't bring myself to post links to Twitter though, sorry.

2. Re: Breach & Clear: DEADline Rebirth Released Nov 19, 2016, 00:03 MoreLuckThanSkill

I was debating getting it or the original a couple of times, can't really argue with 90% as it is now, not 75% on Steam.

I'll buy it, although the Steam comments pre-this current patch are pretty harsh.

*EDIT* Yeah, appears to be a Steam sale bug, the Package deal is $4.49 for both games, and that's 85% off. Separately you pay $3.48 for both.

I encountered a house centipede in the bathtub for the first time about a month ago. Scared the crap out of me since they're uncommon in this part of California and the most exotic bug I'm used to seeing is a spider. From what I can gather, this variety is completely harmless to humans, but he got sprayed down the drain before I was willing to test that out.

Aww, that poor guy, he was probably feasting on small insects and fell into the tub. Not interested in you in the least. Now, of course... he will have Vengeance.

Okay, played a couple rounds as the Specialist... reasonably interesting Make Your Own Class option, basically.

Perks urge you towards small gun or large gun focus, heals(grenades) or more damage from grenades, etc. Seems like it'll be the most enjoyable class for me personally on pubs.

As it should be, all the other classes will outdamage the Specialist with their on Perk weapons. Good choices all around by Tripwire.

Hopefully they can work the Martial Artist back into the game at some point, I was really looking forward to flying around, jump kicking Zeds in the face, uppercutting heads off, etc.

Seriously? your going to whine about 30 dollars? 60 I could see , but not when its 30 dollars.

Well, it's not the price, it's the principle. And Games Workshop seems to be doing a full court press lately with Warhammer/Warhammer 40k games... I pre-ordered Gothic Armada, because it looked cool, and it was only $30, and it turns out, that game is pretty damned boring after the first hour or so, at least to me. Woohoo, I have like 4 cruisers, a ton of support ships... but I can never use more than 300 points worth? What!?!? I wanted more Homeworldish than skirmish/multiplayer, I think. My bad for not doing enough research.

When it comes to games I think I still have a bit of a college student mentality too, although my income has increased significantly since then, just now I have way less time to actually play.

Coin flip time.

I watched most of the video, but trying to avoid spoilers... I'm tempted to preorder this now, dammit! Left 4 Dead/Killing Floor style gameplay, with Rainbow Sixish style AI squad ordering? I'd start throwing money at the screen if I wasn't apprehensive about getting burned on yet another pre-order.

Curses.

I was bitten by a spider at night while sleeping the wound was circular blue and black. So I was no threat to it, but it attacked anyway. Hard to believe anyone would complain about killing poisonous spiders, who would easily kill his wife and children.

Now I'm more scared of you guys! Flamethrower

You were no threat...until you started slowly rolling over onto it, making horrible, deafening noises out of your gaping maw! That spider is an Arachnid Hero!

I wonder if it was actually a spider, and not some other horrible small creature... lurking, even now, in the shadows of your room?

Good luck, sleep tight!

Looks good, although the ammo counts seem so damned low!

What Arch discount are you talking about? I'm showing $33.99 on Steam, for pre-order.

Further information from Link on Videosift

Not necessarily that bear and dog, but one of the dogs was killed by one of nine bears near that area. That dog's owner was interfering and feeding the polar bears(not the dog!), which is a major crime apparently.

Since people are discussing animal cruelty videos, thought I'd put that link in here. Don't mess with wild animals! If a wild animal is threatening you, call a professional.

I'll check it out tonight.

So no console only recommendations? I didn't buy a console but thought about watching a good game movie like the 4 gig, The Last of Us. The more I started looking at this Heavy Rain, the less I was interested. It seems to disjointed and often mundane.

Sorry, I'd try to help you out, but I'm easily 10+ years behind on console exclusive games. Blues in general is PC focused, although there are some console peasants players on here.

I was tempted to buy a PS4 for awhile, just for the Last of Us, but all the people I talked to who actually played through it were extremely pissed off at the companion AI, etc.

Of course Idris Elba, he's arguably one of the best actors alive. He also benefitted from whatever superb English acting factory they have over there. Just look at all the roles in TV and movies that go to English actors, regardless of skin color. US actors in general seem to have much weaker acting skills, regardless of fame.

Step up your game, American actors!

Idris Elba for James Bond.

This game looks somewhat interesting. You've got my attention at the very least, if you have a 4+ person party based, isometric(-ish) fantasy or sci-fi combat heavy game... I'll read up on The Dwarves a bit.

I respect the intellectualism here more than any other online discussion forum.

Here are some questions:

Is this new administration going to suppress civil liberties? Will its ideology and staff choices be an enabler for hate groups and extremist individuals to discriminate against people with disabilities, LGBTQ, women, and minorities? Will it normalize acts of bullying? Will it reverse years of climate change policy? Will it cooperate with known oppressive governments? Or all these published articles and debates a bunch of hype brought about by major news and media outlets to increase ratings?

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Debatable. There is always going to be hype; we live in the era of 24 hour news networks(and really we're in the twilight of those now) so most of them will say anything for ratings. But I don't think it's possible to be too apprehensive or concerned about what a far right, openly racist, openly bigoted, proudly ignorant group of people are going to do, when they control all branches of government.

This is truly a nightmare scenario for the vast majority of Americans, whether they realize it yet or not. There is already one Trump groupie who worked for one the pro-Trump PACs, Carl Higbie who used the 'precedent' of Japanese Internment Camps as basis for creating a federal registry for Muslim immigrants.

Of course, anybody with any understanding of history should already know the internment camps were the literal definition of racist/bigoted hysteria, but that apparently excludes most Trump supporters.

It'll take awhile for it to really sink in, how fucked this country truly is, especially since most people apparently get their news from fake stories published on Facebook now, but it'll happen eventually.

But it's not all bad, there some good games coming out!

It doesn't even let me start the game without running the stupid video card driver update.

Yes, this is ridiculously annoying. Apparently there is also a bug in the newest Nvidia driver, 375.86?(from 11/15/2016). Luckily, you can install somewhat older drivers and still run the game, but one more minor annoyance tossed onto the pile for BF1.
