Hrm, I'll add this to the Steam/Humble/Gog(if it ever gets to Gog) list. I debated buying it this past Steam sale, but passed on it.

It looked interesting, but not more than $9.99 interesting.

Wow, they had mentioned the one month time limit before, but I foolishly thought they would come to their senses.

Now they say they are going to double down on that terrible idea, and make a 3 day event. ROFL. With their server issues? That should be great.

It's already the 4th, lol, so I'm not sure how you even thought that could be the case... But you're misunderstanding the bit about a little teaser "event" that went live yesterday, day before the patch. All that consists of are some unique enemies (re-colored cultists) that can spawn throughout Act I and drop pages of lore. There is an achievement for collecting them all, and that's literally all there is to that precursor "event."

Read the summary above. "future anniversary events will feature a pre-cursor event available from January 1-3."

Congrats, how much is the Necromancer DLC for D3 going to be?

I got the d3 itch again last week. Necro can't come soon enough. Guess I'll finally try seasons at least once, once they come to the ps4 (season 10, I believe).

I think they are aiming for 'late' 2017 for the Character pack with the Necromancer in it, but there is supposedly a somewhat large patch coming this month. A couple former D3 people I used to group with also got sucked in by this marketing, and will probably go back for awhile. Breaking up my Grim Dawn/KF2 groups!!

I cannot recommend Grim Dawn/Path of Exile enough though, if you are fiending for some ARPG gameplay. Either one is far superior to what Diablo 3 is now, in terms of complexity and class building. Of course D3 still has the best engine but... the rest is lacking.

All that said, I may eventually get the Necromancer, if they give 2 more character slots with that DLC, and the price isn't ridiculous. If I have to delete my mothballed characters, forget it.

The choice of words being used is so critical to this story. The argument was whether they were involved in social engineering via. the selective release of leaks/emails/whatever during the campaign. Now that argument is whether they tampered with election equipment/process? Was anyone even trying to prove that one?

People are confusing stories here. The FBI/CIA/White House all claim that the DNC(Democratic National Committee) was hacked, particularly their email servers. They have ample proof, of which they have only made some parts public, so as to hopefully preserve future advantage.

Somehow, that got reported multiple times (incorrectly) that the election process itself was hacked by foreign powers. No official source has ever made that claim, aside from Donald Trump complaining about the election being rigged before voting commenced.

The released emails no doubt had influence on the election, but not directly on voting machines. Hacks on the Email servers, not directly on election machines, for the PURPOSE of influencing the election, is the claim by the FBI/White House/CIA.

The real wrinkle of course, is that most of these Diebold voting machines CAN be hacked pretty easily remotely or in person, as shown in the past 8-10 years(look up Diebold voting machines for most states basically), but that was not the claim that RUSSIA did it this particular year.

Anyway, welcome to the largest example of failed democracy(I know, democratic republic) in the world, if you live in the US.

The arstechnica article has claims by several security researchers (who do not have all the information the government agencies do) that the evidence is not concrete proof so far that Russia State agencies were responsible, but it's unrealistic to assume the public will ever get all the information the government has on the hacks.

I loved the first Borderlands, got bored towards the end of Borderlands 2(didn't like their added grinding/limited boss killing crap), and I'm guessing they will somehow ruin Borderlands 3 with either MOBA aspects or even worse grinding mechanics.

It would not surprise me at all though if Borderlands 3 still sold millions of copies despite being complete shit.

Hrm, sorry, can't go back to literally the exact same NES graphics after playing Double Dragon Neon!

On sale on Steam for like $2.49 by the way.

River City Ransom was one of my favorite NES games...I'll keep an eye on that revival version, in spite of the Facebook link.

Warhammer End Times Vermintide is still at -66%. I'm really digging the game, probably the best buy I've made on Steam so far. Im enjoying this more than L4D, even though it lacks a Versus mode. Best part, you don't need to buy any of the DLC maps to play on them the DLC is only required if you want to host the games on those maps.

I'm sorely tempted, but I hear the grind is insane in that game, with randomized drops, etc. How badly do you feel that affects the game, if at all?

Abandon Ship!

Head to Grim Dawn or Path of Exile, ARPG players. Either game is better at this point.

I'm also keeping an eye on Wolcen, hopefully that turns out awesome.

Salient point is, Blizzard has abandoned Diablo 3, and/or put their 5th or 6th stringers on it.

I think it's not just hammering from the Steam sales, but they are also getting DDoSed.

Too many people using default passwords/never updating firmware on random Internet of Things crap that shouldn't be on the internet in the first place.

Very nice, Humble. I picked this up earlier today, whilst pondering the Steam sales.

For those of you concerned about giving your Steam info, you usually have to anyway for any Humble purchase that has Steam as a requirement.

This reminds me, I need to make a full run through the BG1 BG2 Enhanced versions... they should be patched up pretty nicely by now.

Hopefully all the good mods are ported over too.

I'm probably going to buy:

Abzu
Creeper World 3
Double Dragon:Neon
Enter the Gungeon
Livelock
Deserts of Kharak(Discount for owning Homeworld Remastered)
We Are the Dwarves

Debating getting Deus Ex for $19.79 or whatever it is now.

Also debating picking up Descent:Undergound and Overload to support the indies, but both of those projects seem pretty far from completion.

I can no longer use the key resellers, chance is way too high they are bought with stolen credit cards.

We intend to do exactly this within the Descent Universe, we are rebooting the franchise, but with a small amount of funding we had to do this in phases, this is phase 1, by phase 3 we will all be in space fighting over Alien technology, but we need to be successful in phase 1 etc to have the funding.

We do not have millions of dollars and raman noodles are getting old, real fast.

Dammit, an impassioned Indie Dev posting in a thread about his own game on Bluesnews... now I have to buy this and the other Descent remake.

Good luck, WingmanDU, it's looking really good so far.

Steam store seems to be hammered still, but I'm not really into the Gog Galaxy client(required for multiplayer?) hrm... should I finally break down and install Galaxy? *ponders.*

I'm hoping this game goes on a rather severe sale tomorrow, it looks like a lot of fun at $9.99 or so.

It's available in a lot of places (G2A, CDKeys, etc) for less...

I am sure it is, but there is stil the potential that a lot of those keys are stolen/bought with stolen credit cards. I can't justify using those sites anymore.

Wow, steam is HAMMERED right now, lol. Can't even search for anything effectively, and my account isn't registering correctly with what I already own. GG Steam sale.

"Mankind has fallen."

I wonder what it says about the human psyche that so much of our imagination, from entertainment to religion, gets focused on apocalyptic scenarios where our entire species is either on the verge of death or destined to die soon or already dead.

Aside from that, yet another VR title. Shotgun method engaged.
