HEY!!! If anyone wants a free beta code just go to GAMESTOP.
You don't REALLY have to preorder to get it. The clerk just has a barcode they can scan and it will print out a reciept with a beta code on it. If the clerk is nice they'll just give you one, cuz they don't have to verify anything to give it to you.

Dang! I'd like to play my copy of UT3 right now, but I can't because the steam servers are too busy?
This is BS.
Fortunately you can apply the patch, which overwrites the EXE allowing you to play without steam at all. |

You DON'T need Steam to get the update, or the TITAN pack.
Where did this rumor start anyway...
Yes I have the patch running WITHOUT STEAM.
The whole expansion is pretty sweet. They've fixed a lot of things. We're gonna have a little LAN battle Friday night and see if UT3 gets it's crown back.
