But I don't know the reason nor remedy for this yet; it's really weird that the browser only renders UTF-8 characters correctly and consistently if they're 3-byte ones (and then the 2-byte ones too), but not if a page includes only 2-byte characters, given that HTML and HTTPS instruct it to use that character set.

Yes, a workaround remedy may be to insure that the page always includes a 3-byte character somewhere, but I'd still like to understand the underlying problem if possible.
I was going to add one more weird observation about the replacement characters, but since last night I'm not getting them anymore during dozens of refreshes in multiple browsers. So perhaps the issue resolved itself just as mysteriously as it popped up... Wacky

Wackiness continues

The fact it's not resolved now after this media blowout means only 2 things

or
They literally can't fix it

Read the article, not just the headline. The disclosures come from the app developers.

The joke is you could literally automate this label report thing with a fancy script to do automated testing and list where it sends data to... but Apple is taking the "zero responsibility" route yet again.

I own not a single game that went epic exclusive for it's full release so they can continue doing this and will continue to save money

When those games are 75% off during sale events, then I might grab them.. on Steam. So in a way EPIC is actually helping me save money for real.. mhh.

PS - the recipe for Braised Endive is also spectacular - endive is something I walked past in the supermarket for years but it's actually pretty great. Plus, substitute elf for endive for extra points...

I'm a big fan of endive - just remember to pronounce it properly...'endeev'. Cut it in half, roast or grill it splashed with a little olive oil and balsamic and it's delish.

I hate when people pronounce envoy as "en-voy" instead of "on-voy."

I hate it more when they call the thing named chicory not chicory ;p

Yup, can't believe Blues missed it. DCS Is free to play in its entirety until the 15th of Feb.

Maybe because you are both wrong.. these campaigns are NOT free. Maps and Planes are.. not CAMPAIGNS

In actuality it's Eagle Dynamics being needlessly obtuse first they never announced their sale outside of their own website (which only in "more info" has a mention of a free event) and worse.. they call it maps, but they sell it as terrain. Terrain and Planes are FREE for 9 days, Campaigns never were... in fact most of em aren't even on sale (despite their "sale" event going on)

Well, GinRummy specifically said classic games that won't run on modern machines. For me that's usually late DOS-era games and early Win95/98 titles.

Exactly, it's literally ALL Win 3.11 titles that don't run at all anymore unless you use some weird VM setup (and even then....), and tons of W95/W98 era games with that shitty russian pre-denuvo DRM. like Castle Strike as an example, not that you could install them since the installers are all 16bit. Like it is nearly unfathomable how many 3.11 and W95 games are completely lost, because they used the Win API for GUI back then. Some got ports but many were completely forgotten or lost in license limbo and for some there is still no way around actually building an old PC (LGR showcases this for example)

And then, there is the biggest of them all... the securom issue. Making all pre Win 8 and prior games inaccessible on Win 10, unless they got a proper crack

One of the big new features of 85.0.1 was it breaking my profile and causing an infinite crash loop, non-recoverable, except my bookmarks all was lost, all settings everything... THANKS MOZILLA FOR TESTING YOUR SHIT ... not.

Had to make a new profile, and yes, the broken profile synced and is broken forever, apparently. Lmao.. even crashes on my other tablet devices
