I don't know what is worse; a company that sells cheats, or the twits who purchase them.

Without someone buying it, there'd be no market. So easy to answer that.

News Comments > Steam Discovery Changes Will "Fight Fake Games"
6. Re: Steam Discovery Changes Will Apr 4, 2017, 10:36 eRe4s3r

If you seen the Jim vid related to this, you'll know there is a lot more coming, especially how steam presents games to you.. wonder if that will be an improvement or not... so far recommendations for me have been pretty hit and miss, and discovery queue is still shoveling crap-ware in my face ;/

And Explorers being unpaid is imo also questionable, don't really see how that will fix the issues if it is also targeted by scams or paid-for-boosting or the various other methods employed by greenlight scammers.

Finally changes to trading cards are good and all, but there really needs to be a batch-sell-at-current price option...

True The worst cutscenes by far are the ones without weapons, whenever Korgan cbq ensued in a cutscene (Morda!) and (Barfight!) I nearly got a laughing attack. It looked like something from Charlie Chaplin movies.

Imo more interesting is that we will maybe see CPU's with HBM on chip in the next decade. At some point, you might well buy a CPU with 16 or 32GB HBM RAM on the die, in turn this would be extremely performance relevant, because the memory controller would have direct access to the RAM directly from the CPU l3 cache without going through PCI-E lanes or memory controller lanes, the HBM would be directly accessed via traces on the CPU, the entire ram system could be fine tuned for that CPU, achieving much faster timings and disconnecting ram from mainboards entirely.

The first one out to the market with that will win the technology race for the best cpu. And it's baffling to me that AMD with it's HBM2 abilities has not already done this, and instead opted to put such an inferior and limited memory controller on Ryzen which on top of it also starves the interconnect. Did AMD just want to compete in price? You'd think "building the best cpu" would be kinda more relevant in the long-term.

I dunno where that rumor comes from. I wonder if it's true?

Thoughts? HBM on CPU ?

Cutter said it was a race crime (black on white) and you came in to defend that.

That's really cute, but I posted here because the article wasn't talking about a pretty damn important element of the case, namely that a hate mob (of "people" hah) formed in front of her house and that hate mob did more than "ringing forcefully" and the police relocated the entire family, and that on top of that there was a pretty disgusting hate mob on twitter targeting the family and the victim.

When I ever have cause to defend Cutter you can be sure it will be a gold laced letter made of pure ivory and not a secondary quote from Quboid

Sorry but there is no mention of a group of black teens doing that in the story you linked. The victim and the family also seem to be black. From what I can tell this is not a race crime, it's sexual assault. People were ringing the doorbell in a "menacing" way. Not "Teens" not "Black Teens". "People". Also it's not true that the police did nothing, they actually relocated the family to another home.

Yeah, random people, out of nowhere, not related to her school or social contacts in any way, just HAPPEN to form a hate mob in front of her house forcing police to relocate the victim making her a victim a second time. Sure Because police relocates families for malicious "door ringing"

And I never said nor implied it was a race crime... but it seems obvious to me that it wasn't a normal pensioner meeting ringing for signatures in front of a rape victims house that forced the police to relocate an entire family....

As news of the attack spread, people began ringing the family's doorbell and coming around the house in a menacing way, the girl's mother has told the Tribune, and police described a campaign of social media bullying against her. The taunts prompted authorities to relocate her family to another home, which police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi described as "a safe place."

Aka, really classy behavior by everyone involved. ~.~

Another black on white hate crime. Where are all the BLM and liberals now? Oh right, it's only a crime if it's a black man who's the victim.

This is stupid even by your standards. BLM is obviously irrelevant here, and what liberals are saying this isn't a crime?

Far be it for me to defend Cutter, but it's clear you did not google the twitter BS that was going on after the crime, defending the rapists was the mildest form of criminal idiocy visible there. A mob of black teens formed in front of victims house shouting obscenities and mocking her and her family and this continued in school and for many days after. Police and school did nothing about that.

Has nothing directly to do with BLM or politics, sure. But it is still a sign that something is going VERY wrong in Detroit.

Detroit? Its happening the world over, man. Its in fashion to hate on whitey no matter where you are.

Eh, I actually meant to type Chicago (where this event took place)

I wonder why I thought of Detroit, weird.

But it sure isn't happening "everywhere". Media presence influences how we perceive crime and hotspots that are often shown shift our perception that there is more crime, when there really is not. The crimes just get more scandalous and evil, more brutal and brutalized. And they get a longer disgusting tail, with more and more social decay showing. 68% of blacks go to jail before they are 30, there is something very wrong with that and the solution to that isn't to put them all in jail.

But who am I to complain, in Germany we got different problems

Why do you want to fuel someones fetish on a train?

Fetishes I have no problem with. Raising awareness about unwanted groping (the raison d'etre of the penis seat) is my goal for Japan, as it's an epidemic. To the point that some women carry sharpened hairpins on trains to stab wandering hands. No one should have to put up with that shit.

Sure, but my jab was that this fuels a fetish, it does not deter groping....

A boot maker!? The IT guy at a boot factory wiped everything in revenge!?

Man I figured it be a higher stress job or something. Boots?!

You never experienced hell quite like it, until you worked IT helpdesk Usually this kind of company puts 0 value on IT, which is how things like these are possible. Where I worked IT, it was always 4 eyes principle for account privs (And actually, this required interaction of 2 entirely different departments, (Helpdesk and Server Management) but maybe this example is how the big boys do it, I have no experience with smaller companies.

Needs to be said though, never give 1 person the keys to your kingdom and then fire them without good severance. The management should get fired.

Well it still is an expansion, but naming wise it makes sense if you want to clarify that it is stand-alone in itself, but can work together with the first game for that big campaign experience, though I am not sure I would want 5 continents in a large campaign. Turn times are only gonna get worse.
