Thanks AMD,free is always nice.

You'd think with all of the debri and destruction that the Frostbite engine provides they'd do the competent thing and bundle it with a 680GTX and enable PhysX.
I'm kind of spoiled by Planetside 2 now that they have turned PhysX on, it truly does make the destruction beautiful.

Must be Online and Register through Origin.

nin wrote on Feb 17, 2013, 21:20:Fast reply, haha! I knew about that deal but that is just an exclusive publishing agreement, where as Sessler talks about them buying Bungie outright. Perhaps he is just phrasing it in a incorrect manner, but he says purchase and acquisition of Bungie by Activision, which too me is not the same as the publishing deal you linked too.
They hopped out of bed with MS...and right into bed with Activision.
Here ya go.
DrEvil wrote on Feb 17, 2013, 20:14:Today all in the hoopla around the announcement I ended watching a vid by Adam Sessler and in it he mentions the acquisition of Bungie by Activision. Several times... Is he off is meds or did that actually happen? Its the first time I've heard of Bungie being bought by Activision. The purchase references start about 3:39ish and he mentions the purchase again at 4:12.
It really sounds like an "all-in" bet by both Activision and Bungie. If this doesn't work out, they're screwed (well, Bungie is anyway).
Picked it up 50% off since I purchased Premium dlc preorder thing for BF3.
theglaze wrote on Aug 21, 2012, 19:20:You should buy yourself and your friends Battlefield 2142 instead. Titan mode is best team-focused FPS game mode I've played in a loooooong time. Too bad its pretty much dead though.
Instead of buying Black Ops II for $60, I'm going to buy CSGO for 4 of my unfortunate COD friends who are blind to what a good FPS game should play like.
Clancy wrote on Feb 15, 2012, 00:35:I played the demo on 360 for a bit at work, textures were noticeably terrible on the console too. I hope they spruce things up for release and like you said a high-res texture pack is needed for PC at the very least. They made one for DA2 so cross your fingers everyone.
As for the demo... um. horrible running animation. Very poor textures. Looks like I am playing on a console.
Let's hope they do the PC some justice, and actually have higher texture quality.
In fact, they should have a high-res texture pack for the demo. Then and only then will I know if I should buy this game or not.
DangerDog wrote on Dec 22, 2011, 22:52:Feb is too far away I'll agree. I bet there will some $15 DLC pack "coincidentally" released about the same time. 2143 DLC or some more BF2 maps.
February? Well I guess we now know when the next batch of DLC will hit, seems DICE doesn't patch unless they absolutely have to.
DedEye wrote on Dec 13, 2011, 19:56:Another thing to note to is if you are trying to run the game with Ultra Textures but have less than 1.5GB of video ram you will probably experience some thrashing. Repi, DICE's rendering architect mentioned this on the twitters.PunkiBastardo wrote on Dec 13, 2011, 17:23:
Well might as well ask here... Does anyone know any possible workaround for massive continuous lag? That is, besides opening router ports? Only one of my buddies bought BF3 and he basically can't play cause he suffers what would amount to like 2000 ms ping at all times even tho BF displays only around 50 ping for him...
If he is using an AMD crossfire setup, try disabling crossfire.
I've tried many driver revisions and with crossfire enabled I get terrible pauses for seconds at a time in multiplayer. Works great on a single card thankfully.
Jerykk wrote on Nov 24, 2011, 01:41:Indeed. They should have delayed the game until they fixed it since they probably knew about the issue. Being a Black Friday release window they probably choose the $ over doing the right thing. Shocker for this industry... I'll wait for a nice big fat price drop that ironically will work better than the launch day product.Shocker that they are saying the same thing I said yesterday. Play it in DX9 mode for the time being.
I think the big issue here is that they delayed the game for over a month and released trailers showing off all the fancy DX11 effects, only for the game to be released and run like crap in DX11.
Sure, you can still play the game in DX9 but is it unreasonable to expect DX11 to work properly out-of-the-box, especially when considering the aforementioned facts?
Dades wrote on Nov 19, 2011, 15:30:Indeed. I don't take anything they say to be the truth until I see the changes/features made in game.DangerDog wrote on Nov 19, 2011, 14:39:
Z1nt0 said that DICE is happy with the way VOIP works through battlelog, so don't expect any changes there.
Dice is full of shit anyway, they say a lot of things on their little twitter feeds and blogs then turn around and go back on it later.
Sepharo wrote on Nov 8, 2011, 20:18:Yes, a write-up contrasting and comparing the two is warranted. To me the DLC for this game seemed a bit too "lets rip it out of the game for DLC"ish, hence I decided to hold off.
Installing it now... I guess I'll be obligated to do a little write-up being the only sucker who bought this full price on both PS3 and PC
Mashiki Amiketo wrote on Nov 7, 2011, 16:02:Yeah I got through most of the single player portion and there wasn't anything really new. I shouldn't have taken the break to eat because as soon as I did I could no longer play. Damn you internets! Great to have the ME1 crew back and seeing a bit more depth while playing in "RPG" mode.
Eh nothing really huge story wise that wasn't already known to be honest.
JAGUART wrote on Oct 25, 2011, 22:33:Battlelog was a terrible idea from its inception and remains one after using it for a few hours. Tried playing with a few buddies tonight and it was a gong show. Then there is the whole group join feature which worked less than half the time. I never thought they could do a worse UI than Bad Co 2's, guess I was wrong.
Browser is still tedious, but otherwise it runs great so far...
