I absolutely loved Supreme Commander. While it had issues in version 1.00 they did a great job fixing most of them in subsequent updates. SupCom FA turned out great and polished. SupCom 2 was consolified garbage though.

So would you guys recommend PA:T considering I really liked SupCom 1?? Can the two be compared?

Dying Light 2 may be too ambitious for PS4 & Xbox One.

Wow, so it hasn't even been two years yet, but next gen consoles are already becoming last gen.

There's hope in this headline. It could mean that DL2 might be a PC exclusive.

Never finished the D:OS because of its issues that became increasingly annoying.

The GUI was broken and made playing the game super difficult for a leftie like me.

Key binding was very limited, lots of people complained about this on the Larian forums and guess what: The developers didn't give a damn and never fixed it.

Tedious turn-based battles that could take artificially long thanks to an immature GUI that forces you to aim your mouse down to an exact pixel. Being off one pixel might send your explosive arrow right into the back of your party member - ouch!

Plenty of sudden instant death punishments.... "save often because we will kill you often because we can".

List goes on.

Not looking forward to part 2.

Wonder if we'll see Fury X improvements...

I'm still scratching my head at 4GB of vram on a $650 card, when games are hitting 4+ last year and this year already, and the card was touted as some kind of 4k monster.

thats because the memory bandwidth is 4096 bit

the bandwidth on the 970 is 256 bit

in other words - IT GO FASTER

On the 970 it's actually 224+32 bit. Thanks to the awesome unique split bus feature on this card. The Nividia CEO himself explains it right here: http://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2015/02/24/gtx-970/

It's so uber-awesome that no other Nvidia card has it!

So you're basically a low-down, rotten traitor to the PC master race is what you're saying... Police

I think the whole PCMR sucks ass, frankly. I go where the fun games are, and don't limit myself to one platform.

Sorry to say but consoles used to be equal or par to pc but the the general dumbness and idiocy of the masses dumbed down gaming (aka no more alpha centauri for you!).

Trying to reason with people who buy/use consoles has no effect in most cases. I know it's tempting but in my experience it's best to just facepalm quietly and then walk away. Saves you a lot of time and effort you can instead spend on playing a decent PC game.

After seeing the previews and the highly dumbed down interface with useless choice options I'm very wary of this one.

Agreed. This is definitely not a day one purchase.

For $20, maybe...

On a side note: There are people that would preorder a turd - as long as it has a "Fallout" (or any other fancy) name tag on it.

As Greece falls in arrears, one man wants to crowdfund 1.6 billion payment.

Alas, he'll miss his goal - spectacularly (even if he gave it 6 years instead of days. Even Chris Roberts would need 6 years to crowdfund that sum.)

90+ hours into it and have just barely scratched the surface of content in Skellige. Loving every minute.

Good to know there's plenty of content. I'm too busy with other stuff (and not just playing games) but I'm looking forward to spending quite some time with W3 eventually.

Heheh good one!

Here's what I would've done: tossed the crappy PC port in the trash can, refunded all PC gamers and spent all the time, effort and money that is now being pumped into the PC version for a quick fix (even by TOP men) on optimizing the console versions.

Yeah, I hope they'll sell only a handful of PC copies because of this fiasco and won't bother with a PC port next time. Either do it like Rockstar or don't do it at all.

The Bards Tale IV by inXile entertainment Kickstarter. Funded with 25 days remaining. First two stretch goals are at $50K increments.

Congrats to them, hope it goes well!

2nd! I'm confident. B.F. and his crew know what they're doing. 3rd game I backed on KS, the first was Wasteland 2.

Impression so far: Consolitis, sub-par visuals, dumbed down A-B-C-D dialog choices, nice story. Worth maybe $25, not a cent more. I got Witcher 3 for $25, so looking good...

Says Nvidia: "If you are not satisfied with the awesome split memory feature on our 970 cards - don't worry, just get a brand new GTX 980 Ti or better yet a GTX Titan X which does NOT come with split memory. :)"

... and rumor has it, people did throw more money at Nvidia to do just that. Upgrade to a (much) more expensive Nvidia card.

It's funny how they completely ignore AA for their tests.

For now, we've shown you that even the latest games don't push that far over 4GB of VRAM, so you'll feel safe buying yourself a new card with 4-6GB of VRAM.

... depends, but a year from now you will be in trouble.

Graphically, this looks better than Fallout 4 ever will. Kickstarter funded, from an Indie developer, made for PCs, and not made for consoles. Maybe I should spend more than 20 bucks on this....

It almost looks too good to the point that I worry about their budget supporting it. Of course, we don't know how much of their own money they're bringing to the table. But I feel pretty confident (based on the videos with the kid, and Fargo's comments) it doesn't feature outside funding.

But hey, I'm along for the ride. I keep seeing stuff like this (specifically gameplay/combat mechanic examples) and the pledge will go up as well.

- quoting the KS page:
Co-funded by fans and inXile: if this game hits its $1.25 million goal, inXile will put in at least $1.25 million of its own money to double the initial budget!

I'm pretty sure they made some cash with Wasteland 2, and TToN will bring in even more. They licensed Unreal Engine 4 and develop for a single platform - the PC. This lowers the cost dramatically.
