What a horribly bad article. It's almost as if The Escapist told the author to write something that vaguely had some semblace to the topic at hand and post it anyway. The guy was obviously clueless about what to write.

That Book of Guilty crash happened for me. I was curious to see what was in it and opened it for the first time. I had the book opened and was scrolling through it with my mouse wheel. It crashed to desktop and I was still sitting there scrolling on my mouse wheel. I stopped staring at the desktop, leaned back in my chair, and took a deep sigh. I then said to myself, "I guess I won't be doing that again".

That's my story.

Thanks for the Amazon link. Bought Dark Souls II Collectors Edition and Tropico 5 since I like box copies of my PC games. Hope Blue gets credit from the purchase.

It's obvious this game wasn't ready for release. They wanted to make it for the holiday season. I do feel sorry for the developers who had to undertake the unrealistic release cycle higher ups put them in.

Very sad. As a regular reader I've read quite a bit about your dog.

I did some searching. I believe this is the first reference to Hudson on Blue's News.

Want to ruin a game franchise? Have Hollywood try to make a movie out of it.

This better not see the light of day.

It's sad to see sites die that started similarly to Blue's News. The sites get bigger and then bought out. They then become heavily modified to maximize ad revenue and viewership to the point of looking like every other bloated big name site.

It's nice to see a site like Blue's News stay the same yet remain sustainable.

If Gas Powered Games was still a viable company with extra cash on hand, I would have loved for them to pick up the Homeworld license from THQ. They have shown they can do RTS on a massive scale successfully with Supreme Commander. Homeworld with a Supreme Commander flair would be nerdgasmic!

Homeworld was great, Homeworld 2 was meh.

Why does anyone need the name? We're approaching 10 years since the sequel was released with apparently little interest. Just make the same type of game and name it something else. I am not sure Homeworld really needs a revival.

Especially since the story in Homeworld was utter, utter pants.

I already knew Relic had the rights to develop using the Warhammer 40K license. It was Homeworld I was concered about. After some searching, it appears that Vivendi owns the Homeworld IP anyways.

I'm wrong. THQ does indeed have the Homeworld IP as is evident by todays news.

I just read on Relicnews.com that Sega only bought the CoH IP. Hope that isn't true. That would mean no more Homeworld, ever.

This is wrong. He posts the bankruptcy filing as being the reasoning behind that, but that only shows CoH because that's what Relic owns; they don't own the 40k license so it's not listed, just the rights to make games under it. That's why everywhere else is listing it as part of the deal.

The preliminary sales list actually doesn't look terrible. Sega acquiring Relic is especially hopeful to me, since it was Sega that published part of the "Total War" series, which is hardcore strategy. That at least seems hopeful for a possible Homeworld 3.

You crazy bastard. Are those four massive CD books on the desk?

Yes, for the massive DVD / CD collection I have. This is when I took them out recently for reorganization (close to 1,200 CD/DVDs):

Woohoo! Performance improvements for GTX 690. Downloading the driver now. Can't wait to see how they perform with my two 690s in Quad SLI.
