I heard French has more exceptions than any other language making it the most difficult to learn. Spanish is great: if you know how to say it you know how to spell it and vice versa, though double l and double r are both difficult to pronounce. Too bad Esperanto never really took off.

Would be nice if USB HID could be expanded to include not only if a key is pressed, but also how much. Kind of a hack now having a keyboard double up as a controller and a keyboard.

I prefer natural keyboards, but have been using an unnatural keyboard that came with a system mainly because I'm too lazy and cheap to buy a another, even after the text on home keys have been faded out!

Analogue keyboards look interesting, like the Wooting and Aimpad.

I feel that the Roger Moore films were the best not just because of Roger Moore himself, but because of the combination of the music, artistry, plot, action scenes, gadgets, humor. Some of the Sean Connery bonds films were good as well.

Roger Moore started playing bond at 46, and played Bond all the way to 58.

Sounds like a bunch of short sellers being sore about losing money they've gambled. Tough luck!

Gotta pay the phone bill too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOfZLb33uCg (300 years!?)

Note 9 will feature the SnapDragon 845 for 4K60 video capture, but too early for the 5G modem coming out early next year. Maybe if it's well under $900. Premium Smartphones are too much these days, don't even get a carrier subsidy anymore.

Paul Jacobs is trying to do the same with Qualcomm, presumably to avoid another hostile takeover attempt from Broadcomm next year.

Article wasn't what I expected. No mention of tax havens, cheap overseas manufacturing, ignoring Qualcomm's patents, and overpriced merchandise. Not to mention the walled garden.

It was a globe in satellite mode for quite awhile, now it's also a globe even when not showing satellite imagery. I wonder if mobile versions are going to follow suit. No more Greenland looking larger than South America!

When are they going to merge these 2 into 1?

Seems like the update messed up clicking on features, no longer shows the details of features.

Seems that they are trying to make it somewhat RPGish, building up your character. Like Diablo2 and the horadric cube, a very important drop. I wonder what's the average amount of playing time it takes to get all of these semi-essential item drops.

How long does it take to gain these items? Doesn't seem like a newcomer friendly game. Even with the original Teamfortress games (original and classic) there was already a skill & knowledge gap to overcome to become competitive, now it seems that there are even more hurdles to overcome in the sequel.

So you could buy an item to gain an advantage in Teamfortress 2?

Haven't played much of Teamfortress 2 lately, are all the trade-able items simply cosmetic?

I remember scripts were made to make skiiing easier that would basically spam jump. Would have been nice if they had made an update with a ski function built-in that would automatically spam jump when held down so players who didn't use scripts wouldn't be at such a dis-advantage. Perhaps even a ski toggle key.

According to http://tribes.wikia.com/wiki/Skiing
"When Tribes 2 was released, skiing had been incorporated as an actual feature in the game. Many maps were designed with skiing in mind, containing large rounding hills perfect for practicing. The game also had a training mission explaining how to ski for new players."

Tribes 1 had one of the best soundtracks heard in a game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz4wsCxovdE

The gameplay was fantastic. It's sort of like Teamfortress with jetpacks and skiing, understandable as the developers did play Quake 1 Teamfortress. It also had some features that Custom Team Fortress had, such as being able to choose your set of weapons and backpack and suit weight. Lots of gameplay modes, such as cap and hold, destroy the base, and of course CTF. Aircraft and ground vehicles. Excellent fusion of an indoor/outdoor engine. Lots of scripting and modding and map making opportunities.

0.8 micro-meter pixel size isn't that much smaller than cameras with 1/4 of the megapixels
note8 1.0 micro-meter telephoto, 1.4 micro-meter wide angle
iphonex 1.0 micro-meter telephoto, 1.22 micro-meter wide angle

Pixels combine in low light situations
"In low light situations, such as shooting at night, the signal from the four adjacent pixels are added, raising the sensitivity to a level equivalent to that of 1.6 micro-meters pixels (12 effective megapixels), to capture bright, low-noise photos and videos."

While downgrading to 12MP for low light, the 1.6 micro-meters effective size should be better than many cameras that only take 12MP photos.

(Had to retype μm as micro-meters as the micro meter u symbol isn't translated properly in this text box.)

That wall size is about what people need to get the most out of 8K.

No mention of an acceleration curve, or mass of the pod in that article.
