But don't get me wrong, it is the BEST sailing on the sea's game out there that is only followed by Black Flag (and not really a close second).

I don't think this game has anything to do with the real Microprose, but it's nice to see the logo again and this game looks promising. My 12 year old got obsessed with the classic game, so I bought him a boxed Amiga copy about a year ago... then this game got announced. Good times.

It also really doesn't matter.
The reason to get a soundcard is because you think you need better digital to analog and you are the foaming at the ears type audiophile that seems to believe that any audio signal is 'unpure" or tainted when it's been through an HDMI cable.
And yes those people exist.
This article of course is nothing but "Hey 35-40 something's, remember soundcards. They still exist, but you don't really need one, but advertisers wanted us to remind you that they exist"

Fuck multiplayer. The end is nigh...
Dude! RTFM!
1. Post-Release Multiplayer
2. "the only thing we said about multiplayer was that it was in R&D"
3. "As we're getting closer to launching 'single player' Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020"
4. "once weโre done โ invite you for some multiplayer action."
TL;DR - Multiplayer is a separate development that is not part of the core single-player experience. ATM, CDPR's focus is on the single-player game for launch. Multiplayer will release like a gameplay expansion similar to GTA5 being released as a full-fledged game with GTA Online being a separate multiplayer experience.
You really need to stop the knee-jerk reaction drama. It's unbecoming.
