Same here. I enjoyed BIA:HH. It did try too hard to be dramatic and all but the gameplay was decent, it actually had me thinking a bit unlike the usual mindless shoot 'em up clones.

Most Wanted was good, but I feel the whole series went downhill after NFS:PU.

SHIFT on the other hand, doesn't seem to fill any current void. We have authentic racing sim with official tracks in GTR, and GRID for a more arcade experience. All SHIFT needs to be is a return to the root: exotic tracks, background info on cars and such, a nice balance between simulation and arcade. I don't see what's so damn hard about it. Just putting any old NFS into a modern engine is good enough for the game to be better than the crap of late NFS.

3) A more accurate and less morally obvious dialogue system.

One of my biggest problems with ME1. You can pretty much choose your options blindfolded and still know what the result is going to be. Also this dialogue system is too simplified to the point where the option you choose doesn't match what the character actually says. Sometimes no matter which option you choose the character says the same thing anyway.

4) More hubs. The only real hub in ME was Citadel Station.

Hell yeah. I was so disappointed when I got to Earth the first time and realized that it was just a bunch of background text. Didn't take long to see Citadel was the only place with any exploration value, yet it didn't have many interesting things to do.

5) More meaningful choices with long-term consequences aside from gaining Paragon or Renegade points.

Given Bioware's history, I won't expect too much on this front. But in some recent interviews they did say what you chose in ME1 would have some impact on ME2's story.

Other than that, I agree with SpectralMeat. Let's see some more action and exploration with the blue chick.

Heh, I was just reading this thread then realized at the top of this page there was this UGO ad about the sexiest death scene.

Beautiful, exotic, point-to-point tracks + great sensation of speed + optional cops + exotic cars + easy modding = win.

Exactly. But from how the recent NFS games have turned out, it looks like wishful thinking.

Unless they go back to the roots(pick any game up to and including PU is good enough for me), I wouldn't mind seeing EA put an end to the current NFS series.

I agree, and I bet the majority of players here in China haven't even heard of DK.

By the way, I read on the developer's website that they are hiring engine programmers to work on Unreal Tech 3, so this might be the best looking Chinese mmo if nothing else.

...Russians, Japanese, Italians, Australians, Canadians, French, or maybe the Chinese.

Heh, the Chinese weren't doing much during WW2 besides getting our ass handed to us by the Japs, or busy killing each other for control over what was left of the country.

Could be fun to add the French in. Viva la Resistance!

On the other hand, where's the promised info on DOW2 Relic?

You want a lifetime of disappointments?
No, just a lifetime of robbing retards who paid for a lifetime sub for Hellgate.

To be serious, it's probably a good thing. This time he doesn't get to make bad business decisions. So perhaps Roper has a chance to get back some of his lost reputation while at Flagship.

Exactly. id doesn't play a role in this.

However, I don't see this project doing much outside the hardcore free software community(of course most of the time doing just that is enough). If you're a gamer you probably wouldn't be using Linux exclusively in the first place.

"hey.. remember us, we used to make decent games..please remember us" --if anything.

I know you're just saying, but Q3 is much more than just a "decent" game.

Yeah. If you played the game 5 or 6 years ago, you've pretty much played this one or all of them, just without the new graphics.

Read what Jerykk said. Get your facts straight before you go "wag your finger" at people.

Let none of this diminish anyone's contribution, but let's make sure we know the roles people had and in which game.

What irony.

Greedy?!? what the HELL orifice are you talking out of?

He went INTO HIS OWN POCKET to keep his people paid.

So what you are saying is, if a gambler lost all his money and he has to beg on the streets, then he's not greedy? If Roper wasn't a greedy bastard in the first place, the plan wouldn't have backfired so he had to pay for it. Being greedy and paying for the consequences aren't mutually exclusive.

As a designer of Fallout, Tim Cain has already done the "TA"(or SC) in the RPG realm. Not to mention the ones created by Troika.

Glad to see he's trying to do something different from the mindless WOW style. I'm not a MMO player but this should be worth a try.

...the customers and investors deserve something out of this train wreck.

To think rationally, yes. They should get some compensation. On the other hand, most of its customers are mindless fanbois that deserve a punishment for supporting the greedy bastard Roper's game.

Well, what did you expect from a console tard?

Seriously now, TR Legend is the first in the series that I've really enjoyed playing(though I only started playing a bit of TR from 3). So even if Underworld is just more of the same I'll be looking forward to it.

They could create a spiritual successor, like the one they showed off before the demise of Troika. Hell, I'd be happy to see those guys create any game, be it a FO ripoff or not.

I recall reading in the previews that FO3 is largely humorless.

Not true. There are moments where those dumb-looking characters with clunky animation getting blown to pieces by a toaster gun.

Germany definitely. UK? I remember reading about a delay in the UK release on their forum. Not certain though. In any case, torrent sites never let me down.
