They will never be able to stop PC piracy completely, but if they implemented some kind of hardware solution (all the game producers pay a large sum to motherboard makers and they standardize some anti-piracy chip) then they could significantly reduce the piracy. This wouldn't stop it completely (just as xbox 360 can still use pirated games, you just need a mod-chip), but it would keep the stupid people from easily pirating a game. So only true hardcore gamers would be able to pirate the game. Or another solution is make the multiplayer of a game so incredibly awesome, people HAVE to buy the game for the cd-key.

Only for the week (which it wasn't supposed to be activated until the weekend anyway - so this is a perk). Then when the weekend rolls around, it's open multiplayer on the net. So yes, LAN for the week (added perk) and then the advertised free weekend for online battles after that week. Gotta read the whole snippet...

The funny thing is... these boards kind of remind me of the AoC boards in a way. Different topics, same kind of attitudes.
I've been playing WOW for only 9 months now on and off. I must say, that game is already getting boring for me. Warhammer is the kind of MMO I was hoping for when I started WOW. I'm happy with it. It gives me that little butterfly feeling in my stomach when I'm at work that makes me want to go home immediately and start the game up!

There used to be a modified file you could download and it would have every weapon in the game stored in the second little city you come to in fallout 2. They would be stashed in all the lockers around the map. Does anybody know what this mod was called or where to get it? That was my favorite - going around the cities and just blowing everyone away

You're right. Too little too late. Now that WAR is out and it actually has what AoC claimed to have (end battles, siege weapons, fun), I don't think I'll be renewing my AoC subscription anytime soon.

I can only handle so many MMOs at a time. I think I might start my subscription back up once more end game content comes (that is only if WAR is not good). I loved the combat system, really loved it. Had great graphics and don't really have many bad things to say about it. I only made it to level 30, so I never got the end game content that everyone says was lacking. I quit before I could get disappointed because I knew I would want to come back sooner or later when it's all finished.
