You've declared war on a video game product, its time to step back and re-evaluate things man. If Star Citizen sucks no one is going to sugar coat it no matter what the moderators do on some random forum. There is no need to waste time or emotion on it but whatever floats your boat I guess.

Hint: business leadership is only tangentially about the objective newness or quality of the product being sold.

Even forgetting the fact that he totally missed the point as per the norm...the shape of a product being the only metric that determines its usefulness is the most ridiculous thing I've read in awhile. Sorry guys, smartphones weren't a cool innovation because rectangles. No one made any money selling those because rectangles. Perfect example of why I put him on ignore.

You must not work in the corporate world if you don't understand that.

No, it's specifically corporate I was referring to. I would never pull out my phone in a meeting with a client but clients do it to me all of the time. Likewise I see colleagues doing it during internal meetings all the time and it's not just at our company either. Maybe you run your employees differently but it's a whole world out there dude.

Again, if you either don't get it or don't want it... don't buy it.

Well sure but we're also going to talk about how silly it is

If it's in a pocket or a bag and I just want to glance at the message or who sent it without being so fucking rude as to pull out my phone during a meeting or something similar... yeah, the watch display would come in quite handy. Especially since I'm already wearing a nice watch, it could do a little bit more for me than tell me the time.

I don't know, I guess from my perspective that seems like its still too limited to be useful due to the small size of the screen. Make it any bigger and its too obnoxious/bulky. It just seems like a solution in search of a problem.

The social dynamics around phones during meetings and whatnot is changing anyway. I regularly have clients and other subcontractors we deal with pull out the phone to read an email or text. What I consider rude is taking a call unless its important but even that seems to be shifting.

I don't know where we go from here with wearables, its a weird stage in technology and I don't see a lot of the proposed stuff ever being truly useful.

The 3DS was only a launch disaster, its rebounded quite well. The Wii U isn't doing great but it's performing ok now, sales are up the past few quarters and software sales are strong. It's closest competitor is ironically the Xbox One LOL.

Pretty sure they decided not to offer that anti-vaccination course due to all of the press hoopla (it was making the rounds last week) - http://www.provost.utoronto.ca/office/Provostial_Statements/July72015.htm

The UTSC Health Studies Program has indicated that the course in question will not be taught in the 2015-16 academic year, or over the summer term.

The Watch is flopping because people already have smartphones which do a lot more. The future of wearables was not going to be something already outmoded. They just aren't very useful, tiny ass screen, limited functionality and absurd price tag.

They're just chasing their tail around under Cook, Jobs may have been a prick but at least he had some direction for the company.

You're forgetting that people still need to buy new computers, new tablets, and new phones as their existing devices get outmoded. This is how Microsoft has made their money from consumers in the past, and it will continue to be so in the future. It's not like OEMs are getting free full install copies of Windows 10.

New phones maybe. Sadly I don't see a lot of people in this area replacing PCs anymore who aren't gamers. Laptops still seem to be selling although they're mostly Macs now. A friend of mine who is a Prof said its just a sea of Apple logos staring at him when he lectures.

I have this sound card and seem to hit all of those variables, be interesting to see if I get banned. I regularly livestream so people can tell I'm not cheating anyway but I doubt Blizzard will accept twitch streams as evidence of anything

Agreed. He has little credibility here, it's just people excited to have someone with a speck of public visibility agree with their opinion on this game.

Not the way to honor Kenny. That would be this one.

It's funny I never saw tape on that play, only heard about it from others.

Counting down the days til September!

Stabler was a great guy, his foundation raised a lot of money in Alabama for sick kids/RMH. Somewhat related, anyone remember this play? Still nuts all these years later.

He would have crashed and burned regardless, just to far greater effect. Smart captained the Exxon Valdez, Roberts is captaining the Deepwater Horizon (or whatever the oil rig analog of a captain is).

Smart is only chirping up again because he has pulled out a lawn chair and a beer to watch the Hindenburg of a game that is Star Citizen go down in flames.

Yep exactly. It's actually kind of gross how much idiot worship hes getting for repeating forum canards. Smart criticizing anyone for not completing a project is comedy gold, I guess its been so long there are people truly ignorant of his history.

Oh well, time to stop clicking and enabling this shit.

Having used both I don't think its in the same universe as Android, like I wouldn't even compare them in terms of feature sets and app selection. I haven't used iOS in awhile so no clue there. Either way it'll be up to OEMs to decide the fate of Windows Phone in the future.

Zune on the other hand was awesome software, so much better than iTunes. Damned shame that Microsoft is late to market on...everything it seems.

Pretty much every organization I've been with (except for this one thankfully) is exactly that strict, if not more so. Sarbanes–Oxley has made life in IT much more complicated. I can't imagine any IT guys here letting us introduce that kind of security hole into the network.

Nokia already tried that approach, it didn't work. You also can't keep that kind of manufacturing unit around to make 2 models, there's no money in it. People don't want Windows Phones for various reasons. This still lets them offer the option through OEMs while saving billions, its a no brainer from their perspective.
