My problem with the Apple Watch is the battery life and the cost. Wearables are a non-starter for me until battery tech improves and Apple takes a ridiculous premium on the watch even considering R&D and etc.

Conceptually I don't think they are very useful but I admit I am not the target market of the product.

So I watched the first four episodes of Jessica Jones over TG... and the show is awful. It's time to rethink casting when virtually every supporting member is more capable than your star; Ritter is terrible. Continuing the trend of everyone fawning over anything with "Marvel" affixed to it...

Meanwhile The Knick continues to distance itself from the competition as the best thing on television.

Yeah I'm not a fan either and I was really surprised to see all of the positive coverage on it. Daredevil has its problems but at least took some creative risks and had a few decent performances.

News Comments > AMD Crimson Drivers Issue

I tried to be polite and to the point but if you insist...you sound like a weirdo on this stuff. It's a videocard, not your girlfriend. AMD has a paid marketing department and this isn't a battle or something, there's no need to get all weird about defending a brand. Look its pretty simple, stop making assumptions that everyone else doesn't somehow have your "experience" with these things and that anything negative about AMD is a "misunderstanding". Another example being that I have "no interest" because I said something you don't like. I have significant experience with AMD/ATI products, perhaps even more than you. That doesn't mean I don't have a critical eye for problems on either side of the fence.

Being completely unwilling to listen or change is not exactly a stance I would trumpet either. Anyways I'm moving onto other threads so whatever. I posted that because in the past I found you to be reasonable. If you don't want to listen to it then fair enough.

And btw, this game has that shitty DRM Denuvo. Another reason to avoid this game.

Denuvo is just an executable wrapper that has no real impact on performance. It occurs in microseconds at load time to randomize some stuff in memory to prevent cracked exes from loading the game and only really affects pirates. It is nothing to worry about. The few complaints about it were discredited and based on erroneous information.

The games performance issues on the other hand are a real problem.

You are way too defensive about AMD cards man, its impossible to take you seriously on the subject. People frequently bring up Nvidia driver issues, just look at any Nvidia thread. That doesn't mean they won't do the same about AMD.

Is that water trailer supposed to be a joke? I've seen better water in World of Warships, heck even in GTA 4 and 5... and it didn't need fancy nvidia tech.

Yeah that looks worse than the water in Black Flag on a PS3.

AMD apparently didn't want Nvidia to be the only ones having (had) this issue?

How does this not get caught in testing? Oh wait, testing. Heh.

They fired the majority of the driver team awhile back, what testing?

I just get my games on GMG where they don't do this shit. They sell respectably close to cost and offer great coupons from time to time. Fantastic site.

Yeah nothing really interested me this year, I just dumped more money into our index funds instead. We had a bunch of disposable income set aside for toys but nothing needed replacement. Maybe next year I'll finally retire my i5-2500k, thing has been a beast.

My gaming is PC is great but it can't play many console exclusives that are worthwhile IMO. The ability to play them while my girlfriend watches the latest Shonda Rhimes disaster is a solid plus to me, maybe other people don't care but oh well they can simply not use it.

I don't get it. Why would you want to do this?

Someone is using the TV in the living room while you are in the den. You can still play a game you want (from a console in the living room) while sitting on a different platform. As opposed to buying a second PS4 or etc.

It makes perfect sense.

The crafting system and interface in DA:I was a hot mess too, I forgot to mention that earlier. Yeah you can make some really OP equipment with it but you need to stomach actually using the piece of shit for extended periods of time.

Wow, I didn't know I had to be so specific. No one can debate that the Finland dude went way too far with his antics. What I'm saying is everyone is a tough guy behind the safety of their computer and I think that's what was going on here. Blair was being such an incredible dick to someone who can and will fuck with your life. A little humility could have helped this kid.

I guess I'm just trying to get you to see the contradiction inherent in your statement. One person did nothing illegal, the other committed numerous illegal acts. One person is not hiding behind anything, the other person most definitely is and is even smug about it. When you're dealing with someone irrational you can't make assumptions about their behavior. As I said already you could do nothing at all and still incur the wrath of someone like this. People have been swatted for killing another person in an FPS game. It's easy to blame Blair but he didn't do anything wrong or deserving of this sort of response.

You said antics as if this was a joke. Family members lost their jobs, reputations, numerous illegal acts were committed. Swatting can be life and death too. Nothing anyone did remotely deserves that and Blair isn't the one acting like an electronic tough guy, bragging on twitter while sitting safely in a foreign country with absurdly lacking law in this area.

DA:I is decent but not great. Good characters and world design brought down by boatloads of filler content, a lack of fleshed out sidequests and a wonky combat system caught between two types of gameplay. I enjoyed it and it was worth the money but its a shame that it was just on the cusp of great but held back by some very stupid design decisions. For $15 you can't go wrong though.

I think rather than try to punish bad players they should look into designing games that reward players for teamwork. For example, they could track some kind of ratio of attempts at completing an instance over completions and reward the better cooperative players with goodies the others don't get.

Toxic players != bad players, they are players that make it difficult for others to enjoy the game if they aren't playing up to the Toxic player's own opinion of quality...so rewarding good playing doesn't help in this case.

Yep exactly. Some people are just interested in pissing off others and aren't redeemable community members. Your best bet with people like that is simply getting rid of them and in lieu of that, remove incentives for them to dodge bans.
