All hail Astroneer!

What's the deal with that one? I watched a let's play the other night, and it reminded me a lot of the launch of NMS (with it's shitton of resource collection). Does it get better? What do you do besides collect and attach a string of buildings (maybe the LPer I watched just sucked at it)?

there's a certain level of righteous entitlement that seems pervasive among both the administrators and player base.

I think that's my rub with them, along with it simply not being their content to use.

I look forward to blizzard squashing them like a bug again.

The best M:tG implementation to me was the old MicroProse RPG game based in Shandalar.

Still play it occasionally even now.

If they could do something more akin to that, I'd pay for it.

What was that one called? Is it on gog, by chance?

I'm waiting for it to hit lower price before playing it, but I keep hearing great things about it. I don't understand why they just made it 5-6 hours though. Are we back in the mid 2000s or something? Everyone now makes games that take 20+ hours, and they go "5 hours? Ship it."

I'm in a tough spot, in that it's hard to defend a campaign that short. However...it did feel like the right length for the story (w/o dragging it out) and a few of the levels are extremely memorable, both in length and design. I suspect a lot of work went into them...one in particular is both mindblowing as well as recalls a game from a few years ago that had an awesome mechanic that sadly didn't get the attention it should have. I almost wonder if some of the same people worked on both games.

Don't search for spoilers, go into it blind...

edit: fujiJuice did you play Singularity? If not, I highly recommend it (esp after TF2), it's on both steam and gog...

I think the Titanfall franchise has sung its last song.

Which would be a shame. While not worth $60 on it's own, I played through the SP portion of Titanfall 2 a week ago and it was one of the best SP campaigns since Wolfenstein's New Order. It started out a little slow, but once it got going....daaaaamn.

Up the 28 seconds between page refreshes? You're not seeing it there? Maybe it's a routing issue.

$300 seems a bit high, and the launch title aren't exactly mindblowing, outside of Zelda, which I'm sure some folks will scream for.

I can't help but think 6 months more might have provided more titles, but maybe they're trying to beat scorpio out the door.

Remember: These incompetent hacks delayed the game solely because of a simultaneous console release. The PC version has been sitting there finished months ago. If, after all these delays and extra wait time for the consoles, the game ships with any significant bugs then inXile are going to be even more of a laughing stock than they already are.

Please shut up. No one wants to hear your shit.

Now Walmart is taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch at $400 – rumour.

$400 seems way too high. The rumor the other day (teh shack I thin it was) was $250 (and I think a lot more on target).

Well, technically you didn't have to, but the score requirements were so stupidly high that in order to get it with the sp game alone, you literally had to do every single quest perfectly to make it.

I'm so glad I didn't bother with that game. It boggles my mind they thought that was a great idea...

Correct me if Im wrong. Doesn't the president get immunity from prosecution for civil liabilites? In effect he get's a pass from the courts for any and all kinds of harrasment, up to something that would be considered a major criminal charge. If he gets a pass from the courts, guess what the lawyers at Twitter will give him? Yeah... a pass.

He's not using the POTUS twitter account. https://twitter.com/potus

The reason no one noticed, there is not much noticeable difference visually in the higher resolution, especially in games. Unless you have a 60+ inch monitor the difference is slight.

Digital Foundry says it's noticeable, but I doubt that will stop your bitching...

Is it possible to get wireless controllers to work with it? I'm down with emulating the experience of classic gaming...except for the cords!

The pi3 board supports bluetooth.
