It's Obsidian. They are simply trying to hide the clunkiness, poor performance, garbage animations (one can see a hilarious "running animation" of the party which looks like it's straight from a Goofy cartoon at 00:15), wonky camera, plain as day bugginess, crashes, and bluescreens from the public eye for as long as humanly possible.

But still not as garbage as your shit posts.

40% smaller.. just more heat issues. No benefit at all...

What's the purpose of a slim one? Does anyone really have problems with the ~3-4 inch thick ones?

As of now it will be the cheapest UHD blu-ray player on the market.

It's my understanding the device supports 4k video, but the drive itself is blu, not blu HD. Did I miss part of the announcement?

According to ars it supports 4k blu-ray discs.

huh...combined with the drive and xb hardware, how are they taking that much of a loss?

I hope that they make the update optional, possibly a second entry in Steam. Much of the Skyrim mod community has moved on, and that this update will likely break most existing mods. Since so many modders now live for Fallout, a lot of them will never be updated. I've got a rock-solid install of 255 mods running (actually fewer, but some have multiple files.)

A forced update would kill that.

Well, they made the doom 3 rerelease (the bfg edition) separate, so there's hope.

Skyrim VR and Skyrim Sex mods..... welcome to the future

I want a mod where I play as a male khajiit and have the option to pee on everything. Bonus points if the VR can tell if I've hiked my leg.

I never played much of the 1st one. There is a part where you have to break into a prison, and you have the option of torturing a guy in a really awesome scene. But I never would have come across it if I didn't do some googling. Granted I may be older but it would have been nice to get some sorta hint about being able to do that, and question is did I miss out on some other really awesome scene?

I tend to play through a game like I like, and then if I really enjoyed it, go back and look for secrets like that...

I'm not positive I remember the scene you mention. The one I'm thinking of, I thought it was part of the main story? But it's been a few years now...

Great, another reboot using the same name! If it has anything to do with the old game at all. And didn't we already have several Wolfenstein reboots?

Did you play The New Order? It ended with a bit of a cliffhanger...

Fantastic game, if you've not...

edit: Hopefully named The New Colossus.

I'm hoping the single player part is a decent length and fun. I'm not sure the whole game can ride on the MP part after the first one failed.

Hopefully complete (and not partial) bot support this time as well...I've not seen any mention so far?

Can't wait to dive back into this one. The city very much looks the same (grimy, used) in an awesome way...they specifically mentioned a goal of more verticality in the demo, and that's always welcome.

+1

Pretty much. Oh hey, e3! Thank god...was a little disappoint Wolf wasn't mentioned, but Dishonored looked awesome. Prey was...different...looked like, at least so far, it only shared the named.

nin would ya link your SS2 mods if ya don't mind. Sadly I never played either but would like to give SS2 a go but *whispers* I'm a graphics whore

Absolutely! I bookmarked a lot of the shit, to use again in the future:

I started with the newbie modding guide and downloaded SS2 Tool.

This tells you where to place SS2Tool, depending on your OS/version (steam or gog).

Hopping back to the newbiwe modding guide, I grabbed:

Vurt's Flora Overhaul

Tacticool complete for weapons

Four Hundred for improved textures

Rebirth for character updates

SHTUP-ND for object texture upgrades

You'll notice some of those links have multiple files names, which aren't always clear. Here is the file names I downloaded, and they all seem to work together fine so far.

Extract each mod into it's own folder under <install path>\System Shock 2\DMM (in my case C:\Games\System Shock 2\DMM).

Important part:

After you've installed SS2Tool and placed your mods, from your start menu, run SS2 Blue Mod Manager. It found my game path and mod paths correctly, but you want to double check those. THEN place the mods in the order listed here in the newbie modding guide. Order is apparently important, so be careful. Note that I didn't download/install every mod they mentioned, so your list may be shorter. It's the order that's important.

Hit the "exit and start game" button on the mod manager. Start a new game, walk out of the tram, turn right, and run up to the payphone. If the numbers are blue, and the screen is legible, your mods are installed correctly.

Good luck! It's really not that bad!

edit: Also, optionally create a user.cfg in your system shock 2 folder that includes one or both of:
no_spawn
gun_degrade_rate 0

That removes enemy respawns (which I hate) and sets weapon degradation to 0, which I also hate.
