Do you want us to give them trophies for doing their job properly after getting our money for the game(s)?Since when is free content after you buying a game an obligation?
The concept of free bonus content to games you already own may be foreign to you, whom I have gathered to be primarily a console gamer, but this has long been a common practice in the PC world. You just had to know who to trust. So, you just choose to ignore Crash Course and the Survival Pack? This is why there is no point to trying to reason with people like you. You choose to ignore everything you don't want to hear. Also, what free content for HL, HL2? You had to pay for all the expansions and episodes. You don't feel Left 4 Dead 2 is worth $50? Fine, but seriously stop spewing Left 4 Dead isn't getting support, or it will be abandoned, because it's downright bullshit.
I feel sorry for all the L4D2 buyers out there. Do you think you're going to get any kind of updates/content between Valve trying to correct their fuckup with the L4D1 crowd, and the inevitable 9-month announcement of L4D3? Good luck with that.I really doubt there will be a Left 4 Dead 3 the next year, but nice try trolling.
If you could grab and install content from within the game itself, in a nice interface, it would in fact be easier. Some servers had mods that do that.
This is a good reason why I haven't upgraded any hardware in 2 years, and why I stick to consoles.
The future of PC gaming ITT - sidescrolling puzzle games with crayon pastel effects.
It's going to be some shitty weapon backported from L4D2. Don't get your hopes up.Link? Source? Or are you pulling assumptions out of your ass?
When you compare L4D's patching and DLC schedule to other Valve games like TF2 it's not even close.Well, TF2 and L4D are very different games. First off, 70% of the new maps in TF2 are either community made, or tweaks of already existing maps. Making a good TF2 map can take an experience mapper a few weeks, because again, most TF2 maps are symmetrical arena maps, and making arena map has been around for more than a decade.
So you pick up a console because you don't like ports, even though the PC ports are superior 99% of the time.Maybe, if you steal them like you do, but for people who pay they are shit most of the time. In fact, I would say most PC ports these days are pretty lousy, some of them are next to unplayable(Double Agent, Saints Row 2, GTAIV, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 + 2) just to name a few. I know I had to wait until the recent patch to get Mass Effect stable on PC. Hell, Batman for PC doesn't even support controllers that aren't Xbox 360.
Maybe console users are more susceptible to impulse purchases or "friends list" buys but PC users tend to be more picky. You mean they just pirate it instead of buying it. Again, PC gamers have no qualm about calling console gamers sheep and other stupid shit, yet PC gamers are the ones who mass pirate games.
