Hope they don't grow too fast. That seems to kill a lot of developers when they expand their team too quickly.

They have been so consistently awesome that one can't help but wonder. Hoping their position in Krakow will keep them isolated from the bullshit that is represented by EA and Ubisoft for many years to come.

One major question that I'm having difficulty finding an answer for:

Will I be able to use a racing wheel with this game?

I would pay for a "Blood Dragon" version of this. Not full price, but an under 20$ summer sale, definitely.

I'm still surprised by just how much better 60 FPS actually looks. Some of those smoke effects though, not sure it really benefits them at all.

Here's what I'm noticing after the patch: NPCs knocking things over. In Cambridge Police Station, Scribe Haylen bumps into her microscope and it tumbles to the floor. In Goodneighbor, KL-E-0 knocks over a fatman launcher as she walks back into her store. Also, I finally got to the part where the (spoiler) alien is hiding in a cave and as I shoot him, the game crashes to the desktop. Not good.

Too many games, not enough time. They need to start spreading them out a bit. XCOM2 this week, Tomb Raider last week. Division's beta. Damn. I need to retire so I can play more games.

Tomb Raider can wait for a summer sale, I'm still enjoying Fallout 4. Xcom2 I'd be more inclined to pick up with a demo. Really not into the whole RNG thing that makes you have to restart missions all the time after you miss with a 90% chance to hit, and then get killed when the enemy had a 20% chance to hit.

United States: The Asustor AS6202T SMB NAS retails for $563 at Amazon.

Canada: The Asustor AS6202T SMB NAS retails for $1936 CAD at Amazon Canada.

That's just messed up.

I still don't quite understand the basic mechanics here. He pays each match for better players, correct? How much can you conceivably pay on a single match? I'm just trying to imagine how you could end up paying 8000$ like this.

Ok just read some of that thesis, and some if it is actually pretty good until her complete and utter misunderstanding of the character of Starbuck and BSG... Ugh...

How so? I have to admit I'm not the biggest BSG fan (especially the last season), but I'd definitely argue that Starbuck has that "woman behaving like a stereotypical man in a stereotypical man's world" thing down. Hell, she's based on a male character from the original 80's series (something the Sark completely ignores).

Fugg it. There is lots to say about gender roles, feminism, and anti feminism in video games, but it doesn't even seem like she's interested in it. This video is like watching a Tuesday night report on CBC's the National after Peter Mansbridge has gone home to bed.

She's pretty much ruined her career and any chance of being taken seriously as a feminist writer or political theorist. She badly needs to get back to peer reviewed academic work so that she can find some modern relevance.

One of my classes at university was a remote class in Second Life. We went in a virtual classroom where the instructor ran a virtual slideshow. We did better things than that... but that portion of the class was hilariously short sighted.

Did anyone float a penis through the classroom?

Using Minecraft is definitely good for making a popular class, but its not teaching them anything beyond using Minecraft.

So 60$ for the entire thing, and they get to take their time making it and maybe even incorporate customer feedback into the design of the new levels. That sounds like a good thing. Although, I'm sure the only thing left to be done on the succeeding levels is Q&A, and the more cynical side of me believes that the whole thing is done and they're just sitting on it. So why do this then? It sucks, and they know it, and they know it's going to be tanked in reviews so nobody will buy it.

Thanks cynical me, and I was one of the few who enjoyed Absolution.

I appreciate the fact that they are including functions for those who want them, however, I wonder how these affect performance in games. For Witcher 3 we had to turn it off in order for it to run well, and I haven't bothered installing it since.

Steam will get the short stick.

I doubt that quite strongly. The Steam service already "rents" games to customers, there's no reason why they couldn't pull a similar move to EA:Origin and convince publishers to start selling some 2-3 year old titles (fucking BF4 was released in 2013) on a subscription service.

This move by EA looks like nothing more than an attempt to remarket their back titles. Were they to put their entire catalogue (including their upcoming games like Mirror's Edge Catalyst) on this system they'd probably cure piracy once and for all.
