I never heard of the shitstorm surrounding this game but this video really helped me catch up.

The Blizzard rant was stupid and had some issues with facts. Just comes across like a 10 year old throwing a fit using more adult words.

'Some issues' is being very generous. I love throwing Blizzard under the bus as much as the next guy because they provide more than enough ammunition but this guy goes the extra 'official forums warrior' mile by fabricating a rant based on extra-thick layers of ignorance, half-truths, and a total lack of knowledge on the subject at hand.

All I could think of after the video was the line from Billy Madison:

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I am definitely a fan of the Louis-Dreyfus effect. Then again, I've always had a thing for mature women.

This looked like a pretty fun game. Shame it's from Ubisoft.

Netflix, you done fucked up. I look forward to the follow-up damage control articles in the face of subscription loss even though this shit will get bypassed within a couple days and everything goes back to normal.

I wish I could make money off the amount of robocalls I get. I'd probably make a thousand dollars which is almost enough to buy a flat of beer.

I use Steam reviews all the time. Sort by recent and read a few of those. I definitely avoid a game if the reviews are in the mixed area, or at least scrutinize it more.

If the news is big enough to earn the ire of the internet and eats non-stop flak from gaming news outlets then that's where I hit the breaks rather than rely on user reviews. For indie games, Jim Sterling is my Greenlight bullshit hound but I rarely, if ever, browse those titles anyway.

So, I guess I am a bit of a hypocrite since I basically do the same but from an alternate source. I'm such a fat bastard.

As shitty as this is... Uh oh, not the steam reviews! Maybe next they'll create an online petition!

Good review is good although 60% is still more than I would have given RE0.

Time to point our attention to RE2.

We need more great people like MLK Jr these days. People who can do more than rally their base, but reach across divides and get people together.

You mean to tell me Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are not pillars to the black community?

*YAWN*

I don't know what to play. I don't even feel that excited about it, really. I'll play to see the new zone and, to my disappointment, likely witness Druids being groomed for new class instead of Necromancer.

Who gives a fuck what the no-lifer leaderboard toppers can do with a build? You can knock at least 5-10 GR levels off of those estimates purely for not having 1000 Paragon, another 5 for not spending endless hours cultivating the very best stats on all of your gear, another 5 for not having a perfect Hellfire or immunity ammy... Not to mention the fact that builds meant for pushing the highest GRs often are not the most enjoyable to play or efficient in farming normal rifts, might require a specific group composition to support it, etc.

I can agree with this but only to a certain point when it comes to the bottom line of a build's ability. Take all of those no-life perks away and you've simply moved the problem to appear sooner rather than later. If you like TX farming, it's great but it's not the best and if you like GRs it's okay but not great.

Typical Blizzard balancing though. Buffing Firebirds to become competitive since it fell out of favour then gradually built it a coffin before being put to rest in more or less the same state as it was.
