Anyone here use Alibaba? I've looked in to it but most things I want say they'll take, like, 40 - 60 days to arrive.

Jumped in to PoE but it's not the super-crazy Mayhem event so I might give this a whirl for the week until then. Turmoil is okay and got my guy to 70 but am not happy with the outcome of my character and don't feel like rerolling.

looks legit, those AMD CPU's have what? 40% less IPC then sandy bridge era CPU's yet, are still recommended over those, yeah right.

I really wouldn't read too much in to Frostbite system specs or box specs in general.

It'll be interesting when the B and H series boards release for Coffee Lake. The i5-8400 is just too much of a bargain in general even when factoring in the premium costs of a Z series board so imagine how much more appealing it'll be when you can cut back another $30-$40 without having to pay the Ryzen RAM tax.

I mean, in theory anyway. Coffee Lake stock is pretty dismal.

If Zen+ is only going to provide single-digit boosts to IPC and clock speed then they might have to make another round of price adjustments to look more appealing until they can refine and shrink to 7nm with Zen 2.

I need a panel of developers to explain to me how Anduin went from a naive, uncertain boy king to God emperor in such little time. His father rallied him when he picked up Shalamayne but jesus christ dude shows up in a mountain of literal plot armor and is now a bonafide Paladin taking on Sylvanas.

Reminds me of how Yrel went from a student of Velen mining rocks as a slave to High Exarch of the light in like a month.

Nvidia is pulling some weird shit strings with this product which would make me want to get the Vega 56 out of principle. Should have just dropped the price of the 1070 by $50 instead but it's not like Nvidia has anything better to do until next year.

Nevermind - debunked

For me it's generally used for the RivatunerStatisticServer since I like to see my usage across all cores, framerate and whatnot. I don't dare touch my factory overclocked 290x out of fear that it'll burn down my house if it gets any hotter so Afterburner itself is mostly used for a custom fan curve.

But yes, good to see some clarification.

Sounds like typical internet BS.

It sounds like bullshit but in the case of Afterburner it's actually a legitimate concern since it "hooks" in to the game code in order to provide the on-screen information which can potentially trigger an anticheat system. It's such a problem that the software includes "stealth" and anti-detection measures in order to minimize that potential problem.

The thing is is that I've never known it to be a problem with big studio releases whereas I sometimes have to wrestle with it when it comes to indie multiplayer titles like 7 Days to Die which flat-out refused to work until they updated their anticheat system to be compatible with the newest version I was using.

I don't know about the rest though but if they use a similar method of obtaining information then it's possible or at least more believable than being out of town and your brother logged in.

This is the ultimate "wait for GOTY edition" discount purchase for me. I waited that long for SoM and got it for $8 so I think I can hold out for this one as well.

So they either addressed the Ryzen SMT issue or don't even acknowledge it as an issue.

Dun dun dun....

Honestly I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Destiny 2 will only recognize the physical cores in an Ryzen processor whereas with an Intel processor it'll recognize cores and threads so I want to say this is a Bungie problem rather than a Windows problem especially when I can fire up any other game and they recognize how many cores and threads my processor has.

For folks like me who Freesync at 75hz and own modest hardware it's really a non-issue but for anyone else who has a high refresh setup they're going to be incredibly disappointed to know that their overclocked 1600s and 1700s are trailing a stock i3-7350k in a game which thrives on multicore processing at both 1080p and 1440p.

It's kind of a shit show for Ryzen/Polaris since the ultra preset has baked in nvidia gameworks too. If I ever had to put on a tinfoil hat and say it's purposely crippled because of the intel/nvidia influence then this will be it if it releases in the same state.
