The Trump administration are chaining more successful combos than a championship game of Killer Instincts at this point so I'm not going to be surprised when net neutrality tanks.
Year of the meme. |

Late late in to the first act and through the second reminds me of FEAR and REvelations while leaning more towards the "current state" of the game where the story and monsters are beginning to show signs of a grandiose plot. The following act feels like we're back on track with the typical end location found in RE 1/2/3.
Really the only negative thing I have to say about it so far other than reusing the "turning-away over-the-face grab" a little too much.

Bought it last night and it's a real treat! There's a lot of nostalgia for those who have played the first title such as the location, atmosphere, and puzzles all while giving you a Texas Chainsaw: Body Horror Edition experience.
I'm not a big fan of where the series is but it almost feels like a spin-off. There are amazing little drops of information scattered about which call back to the first and yet you're dealing with present issues as well so it feels really good even for someone like me who gets butthurt any time someone talks about 4, 5 and 6.
I'm probably 10% done... maybe 15% with three hours of taking my sweet time and I don't have any desire to stop.
... the lip syncing is kind of really bad though and there are times where my FPS just dives to single frames for a moment then back to normal. |

Even if they hit Haswell IPC which was suggested quite some time ago then that's still comfortably close to Kaby Lake. If they can offset the ~10% performance difference by keeping their products 11% cheaper then they'll be fine with anything more being way more bang for your buck.
If anything, it'll give us something to talk about in the otherwise stagnant CPU market and hopefully create a price war along the way. |

He basically said the same thing over and over again while Pence grew an enormous hardon when Trump said they'll eradicate Muslim extremists while Obama looked like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. |

I watched a let's play the other night, and it reminded me a lot of the launch of NMS (with it's shitton of resource collection). Does it get better? What do you do besides collect and attach a string of buildings (maybe the LPer I watched just sucked at it)?
Looks like the usual early-access voxel-based survival game which is the latest flavor of the month among streamers of that genre. It's also $20. |

Nostalrius did a lot of good things for the vanilla crowd. They released working content which other private servers could only dream of and were able to become the most influential service until they bowed to Blizzard likely in hopes of gaining favor to bring it back as an officially-endorsed product.
They've essentially buried all the hard work they've done and ruined their name in one post. I wouldn't be surprised if they were doing this to make amends for the underhanded shit they did after Blizzard remained unmoved by the subject and are somehow still hoping for a positive outcome. |

Apparently they're working on quad core processors with SMP disabled so even deeper penetration potential in the low-end market which is typically dominated by the i3.
Interesting times ahead. |

Jivaro wrote on Jan 10, 2017, 12:39: I am good at turning my brain off when required. My wife will confirm that. Movies like Resident Evil are brainless movies. (zombie puns for the win baby!) Applying your brain to them will inevitably ruin them, but I totally get that for some people that's a deal breaker. I think I just have a built in tolerance for plot holes and weak scripts in certain genres, like fantasy and sci-fi. Other genres, like romantic comedy or documentaries, I would have nearly zero tolerance for such things. Sure, you could make an argument that the script is more important in movies that tend to use less special affects and are set in reality but I think my patience has more to do with growing up with some seriously bad "B" cult films being the backbone of my sci-fi and fantasy movie experience. I have a fairly high tolerance when it comes to turning my brain off especially with horror since there are so many shitters out there which require you to do so but in this case I really can't. Up until four, the Resident Evil video game-verse was easily my favorite so to see them get absolutely mangled on screen by Paul garbage fire Anderson just makes me more and more salty with each new release.
Meanwhile, I can plow through Lance Henriksen's finest B-grade material and love nearly every minute. |

Dentorro wrote on Jan 10, 2017, 10:22: not saying these movies are timeless classics or anything, but beeing a fan of zombie movies/games and stuff, I think these are worth watching, seen a lot worse movies with better reviews. I'll give the first film some credit for being alright in spite of having its fair share of eye-rolling moments because Milla is an awful actress when she's given more lines than "multipass" but it went completely off the rails from that point on. The second film was nostalgic for all the wrong reasons but once it hit the third film and turned in to Mad Maxine with psychic powers I just shut it off and walked away from the franchise. |

They're still trying to bolt down reference clock rates and voltage while running modified Fiji drivers so who knows where Vega will be when it releases. |
