It's once again time to cash in on nostalgia and attract new people with old content using uprezed textures, more advanced shaders and gameplay designed at a time when the industry still took some risks. Colour me fucking bored.
You forgot microtransactions, how could you

This new subsidiary will focus on building game ecosystems designed to become truly evergreen and multi-platform.

If you need (or even advertise) DLSS for a decade old game like RDR, that should run at 500+ frames natively on modern machines, then something is seriously wrong.

Doesn't surprise me at all, even though both games are excellent and GOTY worthy, they were PS5 exclusives. Release on all platforms immediately and you'll meet your expectations.

I think there also was an article a couple of weeks ago, where Square Enix talked about this PS5 exclusivity being problematic for their expected sales.

I really enjoyed this game, although I couldn’t get two of the trophies due to the ridiculous difficulty of their associated tasks. I can live with not being good enough to pull them off.
Which trophies were that, if I may ask? I thought it was a pretty easy platinum. What did you have trouble with?

Easy for them to say, being one of the very few live service games that is still going strong.
By their logic, you could also try to sell tickets for the Titanic, it's clear that it's long dead (like many recent live service games with like 100 players) but it might just rise up and sail again

Clown world confirmed over and over again. Souls-like players "bemoan" the difficulty of a From Soft game. What's next? Triathletes "bemoaning" that water is wet, that you have to face headwinds on a bike and that running is teh hard?

Fucking muppets and pussies. You clowns bought a fucking souls-like game. Now deal with it. Git gud and STFU!
They are not wrong though, it is insanely hard. I have a char that was geared up for NG+ (level 175 or so) which basically has maxed HP and destroys early NG+ bosses in two hits. In the DLC, everything kills me in two hits, even normal mobs. And bosses have NG+7 amounts of HP, it's really hard. There's not much you can do, putting a skill point into vitality gives me like 5 HP (I got 2000). So this will not help at all.

I regret purchasing the DLC at this time. Locking it behind not just an optional boss, but one that's a pain in the ass to kill, is evil.
Believe me, Mohg is much easier than basically anything in the DLC

Hopefully once all 3 are out they can combine them into one seamless adventure.
I highly doubt that will happen. The games have totally different combat and skill mechanics. Rebirth starts with "new" characters, low level and without skills basically. So a real seamless experience would require a full rework of everything. Add to this when part 3 comes out, it will most likely feature different mechanics as well. Also, this would result in one giant 300+ hours game, which would probably be a bit too much at once.
If they decide to go for something like this, I bet it would take another one or two years after the release of the final game.

Best for me.
Interesting, that you didn't list any negatives for DA:I. For me personally, that game was average (DA:O the best by a mile).
But the most annoying thing and incredibly stupid gameplay design was the real time mission tables. Like you have to wait two real days until you can continue the main quest, seriously? Luckily there was a mod that reduced this time to zero, otherwise I think I would have simply abandoned the game because I wanted to continue the main story and didn't want to wait.

Resident Evil 4 Remake devs were convinced it would be delayed because of tech issues: "I've never seen bugs like this."
I mean, you could even see in the game where they dug up the bugs. So of course it is expected to be full of them

Finally I can buy and play this. this has been in EA for too long in my opinion. I am fine with EA for rogue like games (like Vampire Survivors was), but for this type of game I prefer a finished product.
Time to give it a go

I have to say, lords of the fallen devs have been steadily rolling out substantial patches, to a greater degree than I have seen from any other company
True, until the patch before this one, where they did some "balancing" (at least what they thought was balancing) for PVP, instead they ruined the experience for all players (ie. making ok spells completely unusable). They earned a great deal of (deserved) shitstorm for that everywhere, with many players changing their reviews to negative. If they didn't release this emergency patch, the game's reputation would be getting much worse real quick.
Sadly the devs seem to have zero clue on balancing or on "difficulty" and there have been many questionable decisions, all while people are begging for much needed improvements, especially inventory management and the artificial inventory limit that could prevent you from progressing the game.
