You know the sad part is, as a PC user, I've lately gotten so used to this type of treatment that I initially just brushed this aside. But damnit, we used to be the lucky ones. We got to laugh at console users because we could download demos for our games rather thank forking over 50 bucks sight-unseen, or even paying 5 bucks to rent it. And ok, I'm happy for our control-pad using brethren that they can now enjoy demos, but now we're getting the short end of the stick, rarely getting demos, and we've never been able to rent our games, short of what scant few eventually make their way to things like Gametap.
And then when we DO get a demo, sometimes it's like six months or more after the game is in retail - often times after the game has already been marked down one or twice and is on it's way to the discount bin.
Yeah, I'm actually really feeling a "fuck you" comming on to the PC industry in general, and I'm normally a very nice, easy-going sort of guy.
