To me this is sloppy makeup sex after some web postings indicated that i.d. stuck it's foot in it's mouth regarding something about not being willing to split Rage in to 3 parts for Xbox and that a Blu-ray drive is preferred.

You guys put way too much emphasis on seemingly schizoid statements out of i.d. lately... It's most likely posturing for cash...

In my opinion they got destroyed by Epic eventually ran off to make Orcs and Elves for the DS, pulled a fast one on fans over on Doom 3, after giving us darkness and flashlights instead of Trent Reznor and nail guns, then ran off and sold themselves to ZeniMax. It doesn't surprise me that they don't seem to know whether they are coming or going in recent statements, as I don't see them maintaining clarity in their own I.P. (or should I say ZeniMax's I.P.), and I personally wouldn't be lining up to listen to sage advice from them.

My guess is that in the end Rage will still be a better game on PS3 (when someone proficient with the best console hardware available gets called in) and even better on PC where i.d. is obviously more comfortable and less challenged to learn something new. Maybe they will even get over spawning monsters on top of the player to immitate challenge.


In the end I do hope it's a good game for i.d., they certainly need onem and so do gamers...

What Xbox will probably do is digital release games weeks or months ahead of hard copies to put the burn on people's lack of self control and break them down in to buying digital when many may prefer hard copy. This will artificially inflate the numbers of people who prefer digital as well. Really glad I changed to PS3 years ago.

I'd rather play a PS3 than rent PC games at the price of buying them. At this point I could just say I would rather play a PS3. Maybe one day PC games will return to what made them wonderful, and when we buy one, we actually own it again.

Overlord 2 DLC to me is a chopped off piece of the game they held back to sell for 5 bucks... 15 (5 fights replayed 3 times each with increasing difficulty) fights of content with pretty forgetable rewards.

If you own a PS3, getting a Dual Shock 3 is advised, no matter what color it is.

I own a PS3, Xbox can play AOL if they want. I will only buy main games on disc.

Really looking forward to Demon's Souls. Max level on characters is 700+ with several character classes and free choice of where to go. Suppose to be pretty brutal on failure but I am ok with that if the game is engaging.

Too many short cut monitors out there (6 bit dithered to 8, TN Panels).

GamesRadar - Anything that helps retailers make money selling new games opposed to reselling old games, should not be the focus of an attack. Especially in a down market. It's something you can enjoy or ignore. Enough new sales occur, less heat on the reslaes of old games. Someone didn't think things through...

I would prefer to see these bonuses be a lot more substantial... Give something to the folks dropping $60 on the game while others rent and miss out.

All the stuff in this thread and the stuff you have to deal with on PC games is why I just turned off my PC for gaming 7 months ago and haven't bothered since. The PC industry has some real legit problems right now and when they finally decide to stop making it the good customers problem too, I will be back. So far they are still trying to control my computer and gatekeep the game I "buy" which won't fly with me.

The PC game industry needs to remember the 35+ crowd have the disposable cash, even in tough times... We are also the ones less likely to buy in to the software rental shennanigans. To me Steam is a 10-24 year old demographic. It's a couple of years of FPS social networking, then you grow out of it. The industry keeps pandering to college kids and trying to nickle and dime Dad and Mom. That is ok for a safety net, but to me it's a bunch of lost companies with no clue how to create, and sell games in the present market and have no sense of direction on how to chase the real money. Every day that money is getting diverted to consoles or other hobbies more and more. Total shame, really.

Buying for PS3 day 1.

I really get tired of this made up "growing content, bigger than ever" that keeps getting tossed around as a defense to PC gaming decline. If that were true, I would still be using the PC. It's been turned off for 7 months. Stop counting rehashed old sh*t. It's just plain dead. Maybe when Rage and some of the Blizzard stuff comes out things will be better.

If you get the PS3 version of Watchmen, you get Parts 1 and 2, plus the full blown director's cut of The Watchmen movie on blu-ray (and a poster, time-line, some other bonus content).

I am with Yakuza on this. I got the game for $20 new and it felt low quality. I got 10 missions in to the game and put it down. It was frustrating to replay entire levels when you would die or fall in a hole and have to redo everything (including collectables that most games record as being found outside the level loads). Aim in this game is just half baked. You never really feel like you are actually aiming, just pointing in the general direction then spray and pray. The main character says some pretty excruciating immature things as you play too. Wanted: Weapons of Fate was 10x better (Grin game).

I liked Too Human because it was a visceral Diablo on a console with a fairly decent attempt to make classes. Was it perfect? Not by a long shot. But it was replayable and I love the randomized way that new content was loaded up when you played it hack n slash after going through the story. If you didn't get good at chaining attacks, you hated it. If you could, it was a great game. It was one of the few unique games Xbox 360 had as well...

I didn't really listen to this guy before the game was released but if he sounded like this leading up to launch, it's no wonder many people became polarized. Hearing him now is rather painful. I guess we can expect some DLC soon or something.

I have played a lot of Silicon Knights b titles over the years. I really liked the one with mechs that you would take over territories with mechs you built and combat was real time kind of like Archon.

Anyways I do hope this is a prelude to DLC for Too Human, it would be welcomed from at least half of the owners of the game.

Just a heads up if anyone was interested in the "Prestige" edition of COD: Modern Warfare 2, I just got a call from Gamestop telling me the SKU is now available for preorder (doubt it's going to be available very long).

Last Rebellion looks interesting. Will have to check it out.

I am glad FTC is going after Astroturfers. It's needed. Wonder if they will ever go after doctors astroturfing drugs.

Valkyria Chronicles is such a damn good game. Sad to see it PSP now but atleast there is another one coming.
