All good points but Verno gets to the root of it all. Wii just isn't able to sustain it's momentum due to issues from all kinds of perspectives.

Also, how many Wii owners also own Xbox or PS3? I would bet quite a few. I know I chose PS3 for any sports games. So Wii titles like this are also losing from multiple platform owners not chosing Wii.

I think another issue is that there is fierce competition for the Wii game dollar. And those really chasing the Wii games as a main platform are probably more interested in things like Wii sports, as opposed to Madden.

I think it's proving to be a big mistake to look at the total install base of Wii and expect the same market penetration on a cross platform title, when compared to that same title on PS3/Xbox.

@Verno - Many companies have GMs that can award items, with another tier below them that handle the grunt work (calling them Specialists doesn't change the fact that they are part of the Game Master function). I know first hand of several incidents, that were not public where a GM was printing money or handing out items.

What could have happened here is use of a GM client. Who knows. I remember the time a child of a high ranking GM got on and started going nuts with one of these clients. Was a good read.

Good logging catches them, but it doesn't prevent the act from happening.

Any game that has skirmish against AI (bots) is a big plus to me. WWII another plus. Will probably pick this up but after it drops in price.

This stuff happens all the time... Sometimes it's public. Some GMs are crooked and make good hardworking ones look bad. Volunteer systems get gold farmers embedded. It's a big reason why I don't like MMOs. Corruption is going to occur. Inside information is going to occur. Even with a totally vigiliant system, punishment comes after the crime and you won't be able to prevent everything.

Nah, I just returned it for full credit and got something else. Also found out the store is not carrying Stormrise anymore either.

@Darks - Same with me. I really wanted to like it but there were too many technical flaws and it was designed for failure. In fact the only thing that could save this game now is a patch to make everything isometric with an option to go to the unit FPV as a choice.

What disturbs me is the casual disregard for releasing unfinished crap and abandoning it after people have bought it. You are obligated to patch messes you release early and I think CA is taking a big risk doing this. I am going to hit up the store I bought it from for a refund now based on this statement.

I got Men of War from Aspyr which was an excellent buy. I have played Soldiers and this is more of the same in better detail which is good to me.

Really choosing not to buy something isn't painful. There is so much other stuff out there that you can play forever and not miss much of anything. I can't think of more than 3 games I might have been interested in but I passed on due to DRM in the last couple of months. DoW 2, Total War series (glad I skipped them both from the reports) and PC version of TLR (which I have on Xbox so really it's not a big deal).

I have Demigod which is a good game. Light DRM is good enough for Stardock, the rest of the industry needs to wake up.

I didn't hop on any bandwagon, I decided not to buy any DRM laden game at all shortly after the first of the year.

This isn't judging how good or bad a game is. This isn't buying a game because it's good or bad. This is intelligently telling someone to take their bad deal and shove it. If you want to rent games, go for it, don't expect others to.

@Verno - Well you are of course entitled to your opinion. But those not giving money to DRM abusers are taking a bite out of their profits, that is indeed being a "wolf".

Buying any game is pretty much being stupid with money, so in a way, buying less DRM laden games, makes people watching their wallet less stupid with their money...

Enough people not buying in to marketing ideas is what has changed every single product and marketing standard since the beginning of time. Everything you buy is voting with your dollar. The fact I am starting to see people to tear down the idea of not buying DRM laden games only tells me it is having an impact and will continue to do so.

I don't lower my expectations for anything. I have 30 years of games that I can easily go back and play at any time and not worry about anything new and I intend to continue to be able to do that with any new purchase. If you and others want to put a middle man with a kill switch on your purchase, that's your own foolishness.

I have Demigod, Men of War as recent titles as well as 30+ PS3/Xbox games since the beginning of the year, that's plenty.

So this will get read, posting here. That Best Buy sale of $10 games was pretty cool. I was able to get 4, 2 kinda stinker, 1 ok, the last 1, Universe at War 360 is awesome.

I have it for the PC but didn't play very far due to other games and the first mission exuding lame vibes. But I played the whole campaign the last couple of days and wow, this game is the best console RTS out there, period. Even better than Red Alert 3 PS3 as far as control and gameplay. The strategy Risk/A&A map is great. Speed sliders for everything too. Can't say enough good things about this one on a console, see if you can grab it at BB still.

I missed Lost Planet and 1 other I was trying to get. Oh well. I also saw Red Alert on consoles as a $10 title, maybe some stores still have a few. Thanks to Blues News for the heads up on the sale!

People who only buy games that are DRM free aren't the sheep, they are the wolves. The sheep buy anything no matter what.

As for the game kinda iffy. It has that thing Crysis had where you run from heat source to heat source to keep your warmth gauge maxed.

As for Aspyr, I have gotten a few games from them lately and as long as they keep delivering the quality goods DRM free, I will most likely buy.

If you get Puzzle Kingdoms, tell us about it. Kind of interested in this title but not enough to make a blind purchase.

Holodisk - BDs will be at that amount soon enough and already have an established footprint. Besides it's way too soon to try and sway the masses to yet another format.

They need to finish sprucing it up then re-market it. I have the game around here somewhere and I absolutely loved it. One of the few 3D FPS RTS type games ever (Renegade, Savage and very few others). When this first released it was amazing. Sniping people out of cockpits to take them over was cool too. Hmm wonder where I put it...

Wow is already set up like an amusement park. So really you can choose to see the Peggle attraction with friends just like any other targeted group activity. Waiting for people to gather, waiting for a pvp match to start, or waiting while riding the flight system are some points I can see having this in place is good.

If true, PopCap gets a huge win long term. I think this will work. Watch for a deluge of wow appps from others if successful. Blizzard's way of responding to the game bars, become one?

The only sad part of this is that now even WoW has a freakin Peggle and Sony is still sitting on the PS3 version.

I remember around 1976-77 Aerosmith was lucky to be a back up band for Foghat. They have had some excellent music since then. Van Halen was pretty big 1978-85. Of those 3 bands, there is only 1 real guitar hero to me, and that is Eddie Van Halen, no competition.

I am really tired of seeing exclusive content. Seriously, go full console exclusive or treat all your fans the same way. This time the PS3 gets the bonus and Xbox loses out, usually it's the other way around. It does not make me chose to buy a different version, in fact it only makes me continue to buy for my preferred console while feeling angst towards the company who is being particularly mean to a portion of it's fan base. Just for a little more money. Scratching this title off the buy list. Stop messing with people's hobby and just sell the damn game already.

I agree with Tumbler on the levels. "Prison" is like a large block of ice that you fight on top of. If you look real close in the ground, there is a huge demon and his face is looking up through the ice.

Demigod has the whole Unreal Tournament announcer (Who sounds just like Christopher Lee) thing going on with also input fom a secondary announcer informing you of changes and events on the field (male evil for dark, female for light).

Matches last 20-40 minutes give or take.

Oh and the music is pretty good too.
