I really dislike this new format, what's worse, I don't know what it is that I don't like3 about it so much that it compels me to post.

I think it's the new font or something.

I think the header area is a total waste of space now too.

I dunno, I'm all for change, but this one is just really hard for me to swallow.

You consider people greedy because they have a job? What the hell does Africa have to do with Bluesnews? There's people starving in America, Russia, all over Europe, hell, probably in Antarctica for all I know, and I'd still donate money to this site if there was a donation button.

Please STFU, mostly because you're and idiot, but I'm sure you'll provide plenty more reason if you read this post.

Blue,

I'd pay a daily fee of $5 if you'd ban Fredrickson permanently.

"Boost (our wallets for Xmas) Pack".

It's just not right. Put it into the expansion instead of reaming us for the expansion and the "booster pack". Totally not fair.

Actually, the Unreal engine doesn't have multiple iterations, like Q1 engine, Q2 engine, etc, it's a progressive release. I considered that fact many times. I think that it will utilize the latest Unreal engine technology, simply because it's built in. Still though, I'm sick of waiting. Even if I can open every door, shoot out every wall, hell, even if I can build custom sandcastles on the beach, that level of interaction isn't worth 5 years of "when it's done" PR crap. I know the bar they hoped to hit was "a new level of interactivity", but there is such a thing as overdoing it.

Blue,

Have you considered giving SpamCop's (http://www.spamcop.net) e-mail services a whirl? Their filters are supposed to be excellent nearly eliminating 100% of any incoming spam... The viruses, well, you should have a good AV software running anyhow, so, no biggie there. Just a suggestion if missed mail continues to be a problem. And no, I'm not an employee and Istand to gain nothing from recommending SC.net.

I don't want to call DNF vaporware, cause then it'll showup on shelves and put a cork in me. But the empty promises and lack of ANY media for DNF is utterly rediculous. I so salivate over the thought of a new DN PC 1st person game, that I really *want* to believe that 3DR is actually working on DNF. Even if the game is real, how psyched can the dev team be to be working on the same game for 5+ years? I get tired of even *great* games, like the best of the best, after 2 years. I guess "when it's finished" doesn't really mean anything. If it did, this one would have been in development for just as long. Or do some games just not warrant good development attention? There must be a decision team at 3DR saying "take forever on this one" and "push this out the door like gangbusters". Sorry, George B. I L-O-V-E 3DR games, even moreso the DN franchise, but I *really* wish 3DR would drop the media blackout policy on DNF. Either give us some more media, or PLEASE admit it's not happening. Either way, I'll be happy.

Throw us a freaking bone here. We're the customer. Need the INFO.

In the article it gives examples of some questions. The questons didn't seem very commonplace.

And say you DID get a worse score because of that.. and you were getting on a plane.... it doesn't say you would definatley be subdued... it just says that it would amount to more marshals being on that flight.

You know, when it comes down to it, I'd rather have a security profile for me (which CAN be anonymous...) on file than have another world trde center incident.

I don't like when people get on their soapboxes and shoot down good ideas without offering a better idea of their own.

"FIX IT!"
"Okay, here's how!"
"NO NOT THAT WAY! A DIFFERENT WAY!"

I'm all for it. I think there need to be a database of people that says "this person is okay, this person is dangerous". I don't think it's intrusive, and would only afect us if we needed access to something where security was of either minor or utmost importance. I hope this gets implemented. If we are going to thwart terrorism, it will take more than the lackluster x-ray devices we have in place today and a simple patting down by a security guard. I believe this to be a viable solution.

In plane, I'd like to see some kind of knock-out gas in the passenger compartment w/ the cockpit sealed off and fortified. Terrorist threat? Hijacking? Seal the cockpit, release the gas, land the plane, subdue the terrorists, and then wake everyone up. No struggle... no guns for pilots. That would make sense to me on a plane.

I hope there's a lot of feedback on this brain fingerprinting lotd. It'd be interesting to hear what people think.

No, really.

The monsters are just as hard, and the community is just as miserable. The amount of negativity both in-game AND on the bulletin boards is unprecedented.

We as a nation now must... Sep 12, 2001, 10:11

Having had some absorption time, I can now think clearly and say what I personally think we as a nation must do.

1. We MUST rebuild the twin towers. If they get blown up again, we must bebuild them again. Rebuilding the towers will turn the material act of destroying the buildings into an act of renewal. This does NOT refer to the loss of life, so don't think for a minute that I'm saying this will replace that.

2. We must honor the dead. I have never been so appauled at such a senseless waste of life. I hated having to explain to my children what happened yesterday.

3. We must maintain our stance as a peace loving nation, however, we must also, at the same time drop our relatiatory mentality to the level of the people that did this. Let me explain why I feel that violence on our part in this case is acceptable. While it's true that violence only begets violence, sometimes, fear is the only thing that that a violent mind comprehends. An attack on certain countries or areas might not strike fear into the people that did this, it will ceratinly strike fear into SOMEONE. They are the ones we need to have step up and say "This group did it, and here is where you can find them, now please stop your unrelenting attacks on us!!" THAT is the kind of response that needs to be culled from other countries. We already have the moral support of many countries. I suggest we take full advantage of that support. If a murder was committed, and I harbored the criminal, I would expect the law to come down on me every bit as much as they did on the criminal. By allowing them sanctuary, or hiding them, I am approving of what they did. On the whole, I do not advocate violence as an answer, however, we can NOT sit back and allow this to happen to us. I want other terrorist groups to say "remember the attack on the U.S. in 2001? The world trade center incident??" and instead of "yes! what a glorious day it was!!" their response should be "Yes, it's unfortunate that we no longer have a country to live in ourselves". I would EXPECT this same attitude if the U.S. were harboring a person or group that had done this to another country. I would EXPECT that we would either turn over the perpetrator for justice, OR face the consequences, so before you people sit there condemning OUR violent behaviour in this situation, look at what has happened, and realize that we have EVERY RIGHT to totally annihilate whoever did this, including the people that are harboring them, for they are JUST as guilty, and I hope the world joins together in one unified front to crush into nothing the people who are responsible for this. This is an extreme act against the U.S. that calls for extreme countermeasure.

One final comment. There is NO extreme sect in the entire world that is good, religeous or otherwise. I see them as the bane of all that is likely wrong with the world. This applies to ALL religeons/ extremeist groups. EVERYWHERE. Not just the middle east, although they seem to be the most passionate about their beliefs. You cannot force your beliefs and wills on someone and expect them to see your actions as just. Opposing viewpoints/ stances are expected, and perhaps even benficial as it allows people to feel like they belong to something greater than just themselves, however, when that viewpoint begins affecting others outside of your group, then that group needs to be quelled.

"chanting "God is Great" and distributing candy to passers-by"

People are sick. I'm sorry to drop to their mentality, but countries that celebrate a tradgey like this deserve to be punished. As an act of war? Probably not. As a covert attack that the US denies, just as this is not being taken responsibility for? Most definately.

Anyone who thinks taking civilian lives to further your cause isn't cowardly is only fooling themselves. The cowardly act ISN'T the suicide itself. IT's hiding being your own death that is cowardly. It's the fear of retribution that's cowardly. It's not giving the innocent people a chance to clear the area that is cowardly. It's hiding behind your OWN CITIZENS that is cowardly.

You cannot turn an act this haenous into some kind of "spiritual warrior" bravery. That may be the motivator, but that certainly does NOT make it true, nor acceptable.

I hope the people that did this find that behind that death is their own eternity of hell.

THE most surreal thing I've ever witnessed in my life. I am truly shaken to the core. You don't think something like this will ever happen in the US. God help us all. You know a war will be started over this. This is tantamount to Pearl Harbor. Biochems scare me more than anything.

My heart goes out to all of the people that lost loved ones and to my entire country. This is a horrific thing to have to witness.

God help us all.
