Isn't jello/gelatin made out of horse hoofs?

I once stabbed a man with a horse hoof. Checks out.

Season 4 was the first one from the Netflix "re-launch", right?

If so, yeah it was pretty bad and slow at first, but it did pick up towards the middle/end. I want to say that around episode 4/5 there was a good Tobias episode.

Overall not as good as when it started...but then again the last season of the "original" was pretty shitty as well, compared to start.

The same rationale for using it on typewriters still applies to computers.

Fonts could, but don't, add extra space after a sentence to duplicate the benefit. The idea that proportional fonts don't need it was a specious assertion from the ignorant of typeface and computer design so they could be lazy in their stream text output formatters.

Yes, I beat the holy hell out of this in several programming classes and professional work.

tl;dr. The one space rule was made up out of whole cloth due to ignorance.

I couldn't read your comment because there weren't two spaces after each sentence

So you must be absolutely right.

So is this where we are now? Forget GHZ, lets see how many cores we can stuff into a microscopic space? I wonder how much better those 8 cores would be at, oh, 7ghz? or 10ghz? Because that's where we should be by now. Hell, BY NOW, using Moore's Law, we should be at 50ghz. We're being held back! Conservatives? Liberals? Illuminati? Vulcans? I dunno, but cores are not our future! This industry was built on pushing the speed limit, MHZ then GHZ and now we've been hovering around 4ghz for more than a decade! This industry is stagnant and it's a fucking disgrace!

=-Rigs-=

What the fuck is this?

Edit: Hah, jinx!

"In one mission, you are trying to kill bulls right as they are about to have sex so a chef can cook them up for a testical-eating festival. Throughout your ball quest, “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye is playing on the soundtrack, and the game demands that you kill one of the bulls by chewing them up in a mulcher on the front of a tractor."

Shocked

I really enjoyed Ready Player One while I was reading it, but after I was finished...it lost a bit of its shine. I still think it was a good book, but the complaints that it's basically Willy Wonka wrapped up in tech/gaming nostalgia aren't that far off. The mind-numbing number of references at a certain point begin to look like namedropping for the sake of nerdcred.

That said, I'll (eventually) see the movie. Probably not in theaters, but I don't go out to the movies often.

They should also give a bit more attention to their recent Secret of Mana release. It's not 100% awful, but just shocking that they released it as-is. Some absolutely ridiculous design decisions. Christ.

Wow. Nice one. I have Dark Descent but not A Machine for Pigs.

Honestly, Dark Descent freaked me out so much that I didn't finish it...so while I was tempted to buy AMfP a few times on sale...I could never rationalize it.

But hey, free!

This game is super fucking polished IMHO, and spooky as fuck if you have any fear of the deep sea.

Agreed 100%. Open water/deep sea gives me the willies, so I wasn't even sure if I should buy this.

Sure enough, I had a lot of trouble just jumping off the lifepod at the start. When I finally did, I didn't stay underwater long, thanks to the creepy [excellent] sound design.

I finally realized that the shallows where you start are pretty safe, and began exploring. I love it!

...Then I ran into my first leviathan, at night. Not realizing it was just a Reefback, I turned around and RACED back to the pod.

I'm just now getting into base and vehicle building, and have a long ways to go, but I can already say it's absolutely worth $25.

Rocket League already has cross platform support for public games. The tweet is referring to "cross-platform party support" - the ability to join friends playing on a different platform.

Was very confused. Thanks for clarifying

Also, as has been pointed out in multiple articles, both Uber and Lyft are doing everything they can to discourage you from driving from multiple services, despite what they claim publicly.

I don't know how you've only encountered Uber drivers doing this as a side gig, but honestly, that isn't the majority of Uber drivers you'll find on a weekend.

YMMV, but around the DC area, the vast majority of drivers are driving for both companies.

As far as the "standard pricing" someone referred to RE: cab drivers, I never, ever encountered such a thing.

In DC, it was near impossible to convince a cab driver to go outside the city (we're talking one mile outside the DC line...a 20-30 minute ride from midtown), because they always would always want a return fare. You'd have to bribe them with a ridiculous amount. Then, when they were forced to accept credit cards, they staged a protest where they all clogged up DC city streets and laid on their horns for a day.

Not a defense of Uber/Lyft, but the taxi cab industry can die, die die.

I'm approaching 300 hours, and I haven't even made the move to Arx yet.

But, to be fair, that includes EA time (which I threw out my save from), as well as bouncing between my game and a friend's game. I also think I may have accidentally left it running overnight once, but I'm still over 200 hours played, no question.

Fantastic game, and as someone said before...it's easily worth $60.
