The first one had a multiplayer mode called Factions. It was actually decent.

I would say it'll probably be similar to that, but they haven't said much about it, so they may have something different/bigger in mind.

I don't disagree if you're going to flaunt your politics and/or religion there may be consequences to your business for that. However, why aren't all these woke companies cutting ties with the major corps that donate to both the Dems and GOP in that case? It's way easier punching down isn't it? It's just more virtue signalling than taking a real stand.

Yep, punching down on those poor poor CEOs.

Knew you'd find a way to make this thread dumber.

I too have fiddled with so many different forms of Quake over the years that I was shocked when I just checked and realized I don't own it on Steam.

I may just re-buy it for convenience. I still have the original Quake CD (with soundtrack) next to me on my desk, but sadly I no longer have a CD drive

Very sad about Near/Byuu. I remember recenty reading about his (nearly lifelong) work on a a translation of Bahamut Lagoon (available here).

Well, Half-Life actually had a story to make a movie out off. Portal has little more than a gimmick gameplay event and some background! How do they want to turn that into a movie?

While I don't think a movie is a good idea, your comment makes it pretty clear you didn't play the sequel.

Still pissed that FF7 remake isn't a remake, as more of a short section of the game. I have yet to find the will to finish it.
Good luck to Nintendo for Animal Crossing!

Same, I'm near the end but haven't felt like finishing it. It's not bad, but it's just a section of the original, and damned if running around gloomy Midgar didn't get old.

In the 90s if you wanted an addon you paid for it each time and it came in a box on disks. Want speech buy the speech pack. Want that new ship pack...buy the ship pack addon. They also ran $19 - $30 each.

Ha. I haven't played in a week or two, and I just fired it up, and sure enough this EXACTLY where I left my game.

Sure enough, he's just staring at me when I answer the phone. I'm not sure this was introduced with 1.11, though. I'm on PS4 with 1.10 and it's happening for me.

Lovely. Oh well, other things to play.

I'm running it on a PS4 Pro and it seems to be running fine (five hours in and still not yet at the main title screen).

YMMV, of course, but for now I'm not personally seeing what people are howling about performance-wise.

As far as bugs, I've had one crash, and a few glitches like floating guns. Nothing serious.

The first day of early voting in my area, I saw videos of lines wrapping around all four sides of buildings (and more). Some of my friends claimed they moved pretty well.

I went the next day, and there was barely any wait at all. Here's hoping that your situation is similar!

I picked it up on sale for about $20 a few months back and I have DEFINITELY gotten my money's worth. I too saw its reception at launch and was wary, but I have about 150 hours in it. Thanks quarantine.

As for inventory issues (and discussion of normal vs survival), playing normal mode made inventory management a lot easier for me, since you can carry larger stacks than you can in survival mode. It's less of a challenge given that you can recover your items after death, but otherwise seems about the same. As you progress and unlock more inventory slots, storage containers, and exocraft (where you can store items as well), inventory space becomes less of an issue.

If you can find NMS on sale, I'd highly recommend it if you like this sort of game. But don't go after it for the story

Sidenote: I scanned a plant earlier today, with a procedurally generated name of "Y. Washpuusae" and that name making me laugh for a good five minutes might have been worth the price of admission by itself. And yes I took a picture.
