Most game devs these days are people who were most probably scarred for life during primary school for being "nerdy" "dorky" or whatever.

There is a version of the 8800GT that is marketed with 256MB ram, but that is actually sold with 512 MB onboard memmory. Don't ask me why that is....my guess is that the makers of the card thought it would be cheaper to disable half of the ram to cater to the lower segment of the market than to physically produce two different cards. Anyway the funny thing is that with a simple flash of the bios the extra ram can be enabled.

I gotta say these are very surprising test results. Since the reviewer stated that he only had 2 GB ram and everyone is reporting these horrible memory issues with Vista, something is making me think this is a bit fishy.

Zirik i thought that was solved with the /FOV command found in most games?
I used to increase the FOV from 90 to 115 in Quake to give me a bit of an edge.
putting the FOV to 180 degrees would give you the fisheye lense distortion.

Ok this is totally going to sound stupid and it's a little bit off topic, does anyone know if this game can be bought online? And I don't mean the retail version, i mean as in a digital download ala Steam or something like that.
I just found out that the fuckers who run the retail department in my company won't allow employees to buy AoC (since apparently we didn't preorder enough copies so our customers come first)
