How is this another cookie cutter MMO? If anything Ive read about this MMO is even remotely true, it will be anything BUT a cookie cutter. Shit this game would be worth checking out for the mounted combat alone!

Hardware manufacturers can do jack to promote PC gaming, except to over-hype and promote their products, which is a sure way of kicking oneself in the nuts.

The only sure way of promoting PC Gaming is to develop good quality titles for the PC, ie. to cater to consumers/gamers who in the end will still be the deciding factor.

So anyone speculating on how long it will take for GTA IV to appear on the PC? It seems these days console ports take less and less time to hit the PC scene, and this is a rare example of a "port" that I would actually like to have on my PC.

I wonder if this game will be the debacle that Hellgate was. I am one of the VERY FEW people that actually liked Hellgate, at least in theory, but I still hope this game isn't as overhyped as Hellgate was and that it is far more polished at launch

Unreal was definitely the single best game from Epic IMO.
Graphicaly it kicked Quake2's ass, and even though the storyline was a bit goofy, the sheer "unrealness" of it was good enough to keep me entertained. *sigh* I wish more games today would wow me like that game did on more than one occasion.

Any game on 360 sells 10 million copy's because they have no filthy pirates and all games are great. The more money you spend making a game the better it is, thats just common sense. Pc gamers are ungrateful bastards and thives. They don't even appreciate the latest "look even grandma can play, who wants a challenge the blue button does everything, look you can have horns and be 9 feet tall now thats gameplay, installing is hard I just want to put the disc in and play did i mention even grandma can play" policy and they can't even buy a game like the latest unreal tournament who lets be honest should have sold millions, come on it has skateboards how RAD is that, the fact that it can't even compete with a death32c qw ffa match has nothing to do with it.

On the bright side you won't need to waste any money on this console port because chances that it will be garbage is pretty high. The irony here is if you don't, you can expect that the next game they make will also be console to pc or just plain console. I could of course be wrong and I will gladly eat my own words if this game turns out to be great.

Krisz for PC games the ratio is more like 10 to a 100, and the other 90 games are way better than most of that console drivel. But yeah NOW that most PC Games are starting to become fucking Console PORTS eventually that statement will become true.

Anyway its not about how MANY suck. Its about how many of those that suck SELL like they are cast out of GOLD.

Dagok when I was talking about console users I was "generalising" something not usually recomended in any subject area, but in the case of console users (and you only have to look at 90% of all console games to see the truth of this) I think I got it right for about 80-90% of the console audience.

Sure you might be mature and a great person online, but what about the other 90% of console users and gamers. Do you really think they will "click" with us PC users?
Im not saying all console players suck, just like not all console games suck. A good example would be the much touted GTA4. But for every good console game to come out there are 100 more that are bottom dregs, and a good number of those sell like hot cupcakes! What does that tell you about the average "Console Joe"???
