At this point? Who gives a shit? I was pretty disappointed when they announced that it's not going to be a F2P game, and will probably still feature a massive amount of DLC. This is another Brink in the making, except everyone will bend over and take it like they like it, because its Blizzard.
Nah, you're pretty far off the mark there. Last Blizzard game I owned was vanilla WoW over a decade ago, so I'm hardly a fan boy. This is just a very good multiplayer team/class shooter. Watch some gameplay videos, watch TotalBiscuits review, people are having a lot of fun and the game is very polished. Unlocks and purchaseables are cosmetic only.
I did watch quite a bit of Overwatch, which is
exactly the reason why I'm so disappointed. They are charging 60 Euros for a multiplayer only shooter! Remember we are not talking about something like Battlefield, Overwatch is basically a reskin of Team Fortress, with a bit of Blizzard polish thrown in for good measure. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, on the contrary, all I'm saying is that if this were any other company they would be publicly lynched for even attempting something like that and rightly so.
*edit
Ok I reread my two posts and maybe Im not making myself clear enough. I'm not disappointed with the game or the gameplay itself, I'm disappointed with their goddamn greed and how much they are charging for the game itself. Either make it F2P and start knocking on TF2's door, or make the price more reasonable, something like 20 or 25 Euros. Im sure that the purchesables are cosmetic only, but for how long do you think that's going to last honestly? Expansions? DLC Character packs? A game like this is going to feature many of those and anyone who thinks it won't is being naive.
