Did you seriously just thumbs down Enemy Unknown?

I did from day one. No editor/map randomizer = zero replay value for that game. Anyone paying more than $5 for it paid too much - including me. And that says nothing of the other shortcomings of that game. I still feel ripped off.

Everybody has different tastes. I couldn't disagree more. I had a blast playing this game and can't wait to re-play with the new expansion pack.

So sorry for your loss. I remember first reading about an 11 week old puppy who sits on your lap as you did updates to the site! Can't believe that it was 13 years ago.

I am sure you have many wonderful memories of Hudson the wonder dog!

This game came out of nowhere for me. I just started playing it based on something I read here and I have been having a blast. The foundry is especially good and has some great quests so far.

I have not done the instances or PvP yet so can't comment.

Also the game feels very very packed in every zone at all hours day and night.

As for the game being free? Well I have not purchased anything other than adding two char slots for 500 zen ($5.00)- I might add more bank slots and bag slots at some point. The game gives you more than enough for free.

There is a gambling aspect to this game I have seen with these nightmere lockboxes. The game makers must be making a fortune selling keys from their store.

Its a very good game. Having fun with it. The quests are fun, the server I am on feels crowded all the time and the skill set build thing is very good.

Combat is also fun. Haven't tried PvP yet.

After 180 hours played since March in Replaying ME1, Replaying ME2 and then Me3 to get to the end I felt like it was a kick in the balls tbh.

Since its only been about a week since I finished I will load up my last save and pretend that what I experienced didnt happen. Hopefully this time they end it better.

Im done moving from MMO to MMO. SWTOR was the last. As I played it I realized that they are all the same at the core. There is nothing truly new, and without that its just more of the same.

Looks to me like this game will flop. Rumor isthat they have spent anywhere from 300-500 million making this game... (I said rumor)... and EA's shares have dropped already because the sales have been short of expectations.

Combine that with people that are not subscribing after the first month... at least 30% according to the polls I've seen on different gaming sites, which normally isn't bad for an MMO, but would be bad for an MMO that cost an immense amount and already had underperformed in sales. Of course those polls aren't scientific... but it does give somewhat of an indication.

Then you have people reaching level cap within a week, and the majority of their player-base the upper levels within the first 3 weeks, and because of full voice overs...there's a real challenge to add enough content in a timely manner.

Finally add the major gripes of a crappy UI, the servers constantly being taken down, the broken quests, the typical launch bugs, and the failed patching that causes "emergency patches"... in an over-saturated market that has plenty of competition.

Yeah... that's not pretty. And while it may not flop as fast as say Warhammer Online did... it will probably flop harder due to the development costs.

I honestly believe that you don't know what you are talking about. If 70% of the game sales sub after the first month the game will make an enormous sum. I am not seeing any mass exodus on my server. There were 100s of people on every planet before the 20th and there are still hundreds.

Also your notion that everybody leveled to the cap in the first week is just DUMB. Sure there are 50s but on my server there are TONS of lower levels who are NOT alts.

Just the fact that you come on here with no REAL knowledge and state that the "majority" of players were 50 in the first week shows your ignorance.

Why is it that whenever a new MMO comes out there are people who actually root for it to fail?

While I enjoy the game for the time being I see them comeing to a point where its putting out content for lvl 50s or fixing all the crap that is wrong with this game either way they have their work cut out for them.

The game hasn't even been out a month. Whose fault is it that there are people with too much time on their hands who feel the need to get to the cap right away?

Whose fault is it that there are people with too much time on their hands who feel the need to post on forums? : )

Some people like to level... Others like to claim they've put in 200 hours before touching the 'main quest line' in some games... To each their own...

Myself... I'd have a few 50s by now if I hadn't gotten burned out some... I have a 41 and a 32, and the 32 I haven't touched in weeks... The 41, I mostly log in for about 30-60m a day to do some space missions, and maybe work on the class quest lines with the wife... And some crafting.

In short, as with just about every other new massive, getting to max doesn't take a lot of time... Quite a bit less than people (here) claimed they put into Skyrim in launch week (or two) : )

-Alamar

Its true people like to do different things but I speak mainly to those who level to the cap by playing non-stop in the first week or two and then complain there is nothing to do and quit the game. Many of these people also flock to the online forums to state how bad the game is due to lack of content.

It makes little sense to me. Breeze through the levels and then burn out by the time you cap and then quit. In this game it seems to make even less sense since its so story oriented. I would bet that most of those who capped already just clicked through the quests.

I guess to each their own.

The first version of SkyUI has been released and is pretty awesome. Bethesda should hire the guy to handle the PC UI for all their future games.

LOL a mandatory install compared to the mega giggage download you all have to do? It was over in no time and Im running great with full features that you all have to tweak to get it to even function properly because of another shitty console to PC port.

Let me know how your video card fucks up your game and sound card causes crashes. Ill be kicking back and enjoying the game. Get back to me when the "SKYRIM TWEAK PACKAGE" is downloadable on HardOCP.

There are few times I could ever defend a console version over PC and this is not one of them. The mods are what truly separates Bethesda games from the pack. There will be thousands of them eventually and you will be kicking yourself for not playing the PC version. Of course that along with the lower fps, lower screen rez, and such.

The new class is very fun to play and the new high level area is cool. Of note the VIPs do not get the new class for free and you can not earn it as a free player either. You can only buy it with points in the DDO store. Judging by the amount of this new class running around the low level areas I would say Turbine has made much money this night.

Its nice to see an older game still being updated by the Devs.

I tried FTP in early Oct and like this game so much I subbed.

Its fun and has a good community. The new servers are very populated also so its not like playing a seemingly dying game like some others we all talk about.

After the update a player will be able to level all the way to 65 without spending a dime if they want to put in the time.

Since when is Lotro a failure? You don't know what your talking about.
