So how come no Sopranos discussions for the past two weeks? Did everybody lose interest already?
Anyhow, the final scene of the episode with Tony beating the crap out of his new bodyguard was priceless. I especially loved it afterwards when he was giving himself that "I still got it" look in the bathroom mirror between heaving his guts out. And Vito in the gay bar dancing in his Village People outfit. ROFLMAO!!! Great stuff!

My dad wants to raise the edge of our property by adding more dirt to redirect the water back down their driveway. But we also don't want to be dicks to the new neighbors.
I wouldn't consider that being a dick. If the water is coming from their property, they need to deal with it in such a way that doesn't involve flooding your yard. Redirecting it towards the street where it can run into the sewers seems like a reasonable expectation.

Yeah, real big surprise about poor UMD sales. I'm no marketing genius but it was certainly obvious to me that UMD movies were doomed from the start the way they were priced. Perhaps I'll apply for a job at Sony.

Will you realistically still be using the same thing in 20 years though?
The longest I've run any computer without upgrading was around 10 years for a Mac IIfx that I used to run my home music studio. So based on my own experiences, I'd say 10 years would be a fair minimum. Of course, longer is always better.
I didn't think the Simpsons could actually get worse, but with two more years I'm sure it'll prove me wrong.

Do a search on "TrueFFS" and "wear_leveling". There are several flash manufactures that are claiming that by using these technologies, life expectancy of flash ram can be increased to dozens of years even when used as a hard disk replacement with numerous daily read/write cycles.
You see, they know how to hold on to DNF, they just don't know how to "release" DNF. And that's really the most important part of the game: the release. Anybody can just hold them.

Once on a four lane highway (two lanes each way) I saw a bird get hit by a car ahead of me which popped the bird in the air and on it's way down it was hit by a car behind the first car which punted it up and sideways towards oncoming traffic where it was picked off by a truck just as it was passing me.
That sounds like a scene outta one of those Yeti games that show up here from time to time.

I can't imagine hitting something like a dog or cat. That would traumatize me for awhile I'm sure.
My worst experience was when I hit a deer head on and he went right over the top of the car. The horrible part came when the deer tried to stand up on four broken legs. It was simply nauseating and heartbreaking at the same time. Fortunately, a policeman came along and ended its suffering with a bullet but that experience still haunts me nearly 20 years later.

The claim of an adrenaline rush is patently absurd and only shows just how little the mainstream press knows about most subjects in general and gaming in particular.
I don't know about you, but I've had many occasions where a game has gotten my adrenaline up as evidenced by increased heart rate, sweaty palms, nervous shaking, etc. I'm not saying that games = drugs, but there are some definite similarities in the effects that both can produce.
