One day it could happen to you. I hope you still stand up with those arguments when it does.

Yes! Stand up for what you believe in by endlessly whining on a website that has nothing to do with your problem!

Hey mOOzilla, out of curiosity, how is being a nuisance on Bluenews helping your situation with Valve?

From the people I know with PS3's the only good games released lately are Warhawk and Heavenly Sword.

Well, since I actually own a PS3 I can say that those are not the only good games on PS3 (see my previous list).

If Lair had been a top notch game, and Warhawk still had some sort of Single Player mode (don't get me wrong I think I'll enjoy Warhawk either way) I might have picked up a PS3.

I'm not trying to make the case that there is currently any single game that is a system seller, but considering the available titles as a whole and what is soon to be released I feel the PS3 is a worthy purchase especially if you are in the market for an excellent Blu-ray player as well. And yes, you will definitely like Warhawk.

As already mentioned, most of those games are or will be on the 360 too.

So? The original statement was that there were no good games on PS3. Like I said previously, a 1 point difference in rating on metacritic is nothing to get excited about even though the same advantage does exist for some PS3 titles. With the exception of some of EA's sports titles, if it's good on the 360, it is good on the PS3 as well.

The games you listed that aren't exclusives are better played on other systems. And the exclusives aren't great

The difference in metacritic is typically 1 or 2% and isn't anything thing worth boasting about. However, if you're going to then it's only fair pointing out games like Fight Night Round 3 and Dirt both of which are better on the PS3 than the 360. Plus, the expectation going forward is that the PS3 versions will be as good as, if not better than, their 360 counterparts as developers become better at using the tools and start taking advantage of the extra storage space afforded by Blu-ray.

As far as the exclusives go, it's all a matter of opinion. I happen to think RFOM it's pretty damn good as far as console shooters go and many reviewers fault Heavenly Sword only on it's length saying it's an otherwise awesome game. Plus, the exclusives I mentioned coming to PS3 are highly anticipated and I'm sure will be held as in high regard among the PS3 enthusiasts as Halo 3 is among the 360 crowd.

The point is, repeatedly stating that "there are no good games for PS3" is simply not true and is either the result of ignorance or plain old-fashioned fanboyism.

In other news, Creston shrugs off rumors of actual games worth playing on the PS3.

How about Resistance: Fall of Man, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Warhawk, Rainbow 6 Las Vegas, Ghost Recon, Super Stardust HD, Motor Storm, and yes, Heavenly Sword just to name a few. All of these are good games well worth playing.

And coming soon we have Metal Gear Solid 4, Unreal Tournament 3, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Ratchet and Clank, etc.

To suggest the PS3 has no games worth playing is just plain ignorant.

At least this kid had the balls to actually do something *real*

That reminds me of Gary Busey on the Simpsons explaining the many restraining orders against him for being "too real".

Hell, if everybody is offering advice for road trip.

I was just looking for an opportunity to slip in a "Best In Show" reference (which I'm guessing nobody got).

Yup. Buckle up. Make sure your tires are inflated correctly, check all fluids. Be safe.

If you get tired, pull over. If you get hungry, eat something.

Rainier what drives you to this madness?

A desire to drive people away from his site? It's hard to believe that someone like him is in charge of PR. Obviously he must be part owner of the site because anywhere else and he would have long been fired by now.

But personally there have been so many specialized controllers for games over the years, it's sorta amazing that a mouse and keyboard hasn't seen more on the console side of things.

The next Unreal Tournament on the PS3 can be controlled via mouse and keyboard. Hopefully, this is something that will become more and more common. If so, I'm ready to give up on PC gaming completely.

Also, never tried it but this looks like it has potential - http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/peripherals/splitfish-fragfx-mouse-controller-for-ps3-245810.php

On the other hand, I've yet to see a single PC or 360 game that needed more than one DVD.

Wasn't it Bill Gates that once proclaimed that 640k would be all the memory we would ever need?

As for the Blu-Ray in the PS3, honestly I don't have a HD TV so I'm quite content with either seeing movies at a theater in Digital Projection thingie, buying them in Widescreen DVD, or go visit my bro-in-law with his mega home theater system.
As a gamer I want my game system to play games I want to play, and sadly Sony hasn't really delivered on that.

As I mentioned, what I think is even a bigger advantage in PS3's Blu-ray drive is storage. Compare the 360's "measly" 4GB storage via DVD to the PS3's 50GB and the possibilities should be readily apparent.

And that's another thing, the 'untapped potential'. I don't give 2 shits about what the thing can do on paper, I want to see what it can do in real time in my living room. And why the hell do I want to spend more money on a system with lackluster features, untapped potential and a 'Really good Blu-Ray player?' All I want the damn thing to do is to play games.

To be fair, the PS3 has been out for well under a year. What console, within the first 6-9 months of its introduction, has had an extensive games selection. The system will mature and the games will only get better. Right now, you're seeing a bunch of straight ports from the 360 to the PS3 with little regard given to how much more the PS3 is ultimately capable off. I believe that is the "untapped potential" the previous post is speaking about. And Blu-ray isn't just about movies. The difference in storage capacity between the 360's DVD and the PS3's Blu-ray drives is significant and, if taken advantage of, could lead to games with absolutely huge environments on the PS3.

I just bought a PS2 just so I could play the Guitar Hero games (got hooked over the weekend playing on my brother's system). Now, I am far from a fan of console games, much preferring the PC gaming experience, but seeing as there are hundreds of games available for the PS2 and many to be had at under $20 I figured that has to be a least a few decent titles that I would enjoy.

So, my question is, what are the "must have" titles for the PS2? Keep in mind that I really can't stand FPS on consoles but anything else I'm open to your suggestions. Thanks.

WTF were those people smoking?

iWeed?

Come on. Apple would not use such a name lame, they have more style.

It would clearly be iHigh.

And then 3 months later they can release the "nano" version and call it iJust-A-Little-High.

You're missing the obvious choice - iPot

had he said "table lamp" would you feel better?

Seriously, just because a user may lack the knowledge of what something is - doesn't mean it is unimportant.

Ah, but it wasn't the table lamp was it? It was one, very specific iteration of the table lamp. We're not talking Thomas Edison here. But that's besides the point. My point is, and no disrespect to the man or his family intended, why would anyone visiting a gaming website be interested in his passing?

Are you going to be calling everyone you know tonight exclaiming, "You'll never guess who died today! Jay Monroe! That's right, the Jay Monroe!".

Nothing wrong with the RIPs. It shows props for the dead peeps.

True, but when one is left scratching their head asking, "what the hell is a tensor lamp?", perhaps the death of its inventor is not quite so note worthy. At least not on a gaming website.
