The people haranguing Cevat Yerli for this simple piece of information are beyond reproach.

I'm fed up with people acting like children over the issue of piracy. The man is a at the forefront of the gaming industry, he's one of the most well known and respected developers, and all you lot can do is tell him he's wrong.

The arrogance to assume that you know more than him, and to criticise this simple statement, is reprehensible. What can you possibly bring to the table? Nothing. All you've got is your awful misconception that he is attacking you, and some childish knee-jerk counter-attack, borne out of your own bloody idiocy.

Some of you lot frankly don't deserve opinions.

No, dumbass. I'm sure most people know it's theft and think of it as such. Even if they don't, ignorance is not a justificaton for breaking the law, and never has been. The problem is, most people think they can get away with it, and they're probably right. Until people are held accountable for their actions, expect this behavior to continue, and increase. Most people don't think it's stealing, yeah, that's what it is. Idiot...

Grow up you god-awful child.

Punishing those of us who bought the game because of that is stupid.

I'm sorry, I must have missed the part where the developers are able to punish people by denying them freebies.

Source? That's what I thought. Fu b, fu...

Call it an educated guess based on the obscenely childish views and behaviour demonstrated in this thread alone.

Games manufacturers are crying out about lost revenue through theft, and what's the community's response? Is it one of support? Is it fuck.

The most common retort you'll see is 'shut up whinging you should have made a better game'.

Of course, all of these people got their informed opinions after buying a legitimate copy...

Well, obviously not them...

But still, far too many people seriously don't think of downloading a game as theft.

It's a valid problem because if I happen to think that it's wrong, and it's theft; and that PC gaming will go to shit if it keeps happening; and yet I've downloaded games in the past, what's gonna stop people who don't even have such a consideration?

The PC community is in serious denial about the prevalence of piracy.

There's fast broadband, more pirating groups, and more torrent sites. Everything is readily available, and installing/cracking has gotten easier.

The problem is that pc gamers might have deserved free stuff in the past, but the majority of people who played call of duty 4 would have stolen it. These people don't deserve to be rewarded with extra content.

I once considered myself one of the 'hardcore elite', exclusively playing pc games and not owning a console. But I decided to get a 360 to sit next to my pc, and it's since become the gaming arm of my whole setup.
The problem has come as I'm due an upgrade (I'm one of many still with a 6800GT), but there's nothing worth upgrading for. Everything I could want is on the 360. Sure, aiming in COD4 is balls, but the immersion is ramped up with analogue walking. Seriously, analogue walking: it's ace I still want starcraft 2, and... Well actually that's it. That's the only exclusive pc game I want. I simply can't remember a time when I haven't been forced to upgrade, and that day has come. It's a sad day. I'll still use my comp for the odd game, but the 360 is a tour de force experience, and one that has changed my view of consoles entirely.
