I just picked up a 6970, and am quite happy with it. Came with a free copy of Shogun 2 Total War ... awesome game!
Also, image quality should be factored into the purchase decision, it seems to me the 570 skips out on some good Tesselation in sacrifice for extra frames

6-10 hours is pretty much par for the course in FPS ever since the original MOHAA and COD...
I'm buying it for the multiplayer anyway; if you buy shooters for the single player only i feel very sorry for you.

looks and sounds an awful lot like World in Conflict
I welcome the new wave of Zombie games. They are finally adding some survival / apocalyptic elements to the games. If you watch a zombie film, they're mostly about human interaction in a zombie infested environment. They're not all Resident Evil.
D&D Online is best played with a static group of friends; especially if you don't look up the dungeon formats/traps etc .. and just play it out D&D Style. It's a hell of a lot of fun this way, and highly recommended!

Minecraft is exactly what you make it, turn on monsters on a multiplayer server and use the bukkit mods to make it super difficult. Survival multiplayer sandbox is what you get.
You want an MMORPG idea? here it goes...
Instead of stupid horse mounts, you could have vehicles. Post apocalyptic world, and some cars remain which have been retrofitted with guns. Lots and lots of Guns.

in my guild we have lost about half members after the first month; they were mostly inactives and were not likely to stay anyway.
There needs to be more endgame pvp content, and the raid content is really subpar at the moment. We'll see what happens in coming months...
If they don't fix the game up it will die like the others. It's a great, and fun game... but so was Aion for a time.
