So, Mr. Coleco vision, what about BF3 makes it a revolutionary game rather than an evolution over prior BF games?
Oh where do i start.
Battlelog - Social media website dedicated to the game. With clan play this has been awesome.
Discounting graphics and sound as not revolutionary is silly. Look at the NES vs SNES and SMB3 vs SMW.
It's really the sum of its parts, and perfecting of things that have been "done before" but are now cranked up to 11 in nearly every aspect from sound, to textures, to animation to netcode.
-Disabling Tanks - This is new
-Supressive Fire - New to the BF series
-New lighting engine
-uses the ANT animation system
-Destruction brought to new levels, never before seen
-Sound design is top notch, have to play it to experience it
-eSports is making a return with this title
-A game with this scale/graphics has never been seen before
So no new crazy game modes, we've played conquest before, we've shot virtual guns before and hell we've played with a keyboard and mouse... it's the sum of its parts that make it revolutionary.
I think some of you might just be typical negative nancies who bitch about anything that comes down the pipe. To deny this game is shaking the foundation of gaming is completely naive.
I guess time will tell, when this thing shatters all records.
Could call me a fanboy i suppose, i fit the title of it. However, I've never been so sure about a title as this one.
Take that for what its worth, but i'm really tired of the bitching.
I often wonder if we played the same game. BF3 quite literally rocks.
