you people find a reason to bitch about everything.

This is what DLC is meant to be, $14.99 gets you 5 new maps, an entirely new setting, new vehicles, models and guns.

I don't entirely understand the whining or picking/choosing in every single fucking thread I read you tards post in, complain about something.

This is what we WANT companies to be doing, try supporting it for a change.

Battlefield has NEVER been a single-player focused game. Bad Company is a to a lesser extent, but it's never been about that. To claim this is a bullshit DLC because it has no Singleplayer is completely insane.

you guys do know this is just an indie game right? Just some dude, no different than you or I. His game got a lot of attention; and he's just kinda riding the wave.

I dont think Notch ever intended Minecraft to be so successful. Cut the guy a break, just because he made some money you guys expect the fucking moon.

Seriously why all the hate on WoW?

I havnt got around to playing it till now (about a week ago) and absolutely love it. Well, that's not entirely true I have played it on and off since release; but I havn't stuck with it long each time.

World of Warcraft is the most popular game on the planet. There's a good reason for it, and some people just hate what is popular. There's nothing more to it than that.

Blizzard has made an accessible, well crafted video game and some people just refuse to acknowledge Blizzard's accomplishments.

So sure, turn your nose up in the air at something that's actually well made and a huge breakthrough in gaming history; but me, along with everyone else, will be busy playing while you whiney asstards just argue amongst each other about how casual wow is, and how much it sucks.

It doesn't suck, you're just an elitist snob. It's okay not to like the game, or not even play it at the moment (i didnt) .. just dont go shooting your mouth off because you don't like the game.

If however the game was NOT worth $15/month (it clearly is) then you might have a point.

I play WoW hardcore casual. I don't devote all my free time to it, I still have fun, and I have decent gear. That said, I really only PvP. Running the same dungeon over and over again hoping for a drop is not my idea of fun.

I just started playing WoW and I agree with this completely, I am in the same boat. Hardcore Casual,(or Mediumcore), and prefer to PvP above all else. Been having a blast so far though! Raiding is fun, too.

The time where WoW was a must play/must buy thing has long since passed.

I actually disagree, I have had an account (not active) since launch. I've played numerous times but quit due to the grind/getting bored.

I purchased Cataclysm, and been playing since the release of v4.0. I used to think like you, but the amount of polish, changes and content they've added and tweaked to WoW is absolutely astounding.

As someone who has noticed the sheer amount of change that has taken place with this game (since i've only played very casually); I can tell you this game is worth every penny, especially now.

World of Warcraft has re-invented itself. Cataclysm is going to devour my soul, as I begin leveling my main.

Everyone else who calls themselves gamers, thumbing their nose at this without actually giving it a chance, are just simply arrogant geezers.

As a Gamer, I would say WoW is a masterpiece, and quite possibly the greatest game ever created.

How exactly is networking going to be very different 15 years from now? The basic fundamentals of networking have remained the same over the past FIFTY years. In order for two computers to talk to each other, packets of data have to be exchanged between the two of them. Since it's going out over a worldwide grid, routers have to be between them to tell each packet where to go. This is ALWAYS going to create latency.

Whether routers will eventually get powerful and smart enough to make this latency small enough that it becomes moot, is questionable though possible. However, we can eventually have a wifi network that connects earth to the moon, and it will STILL require routers and packets.

Creston

What the hell are you talking about? Sure, TCP/IP has remained the same (for the most part) for quite a long time. However this isn't a flaw with TCP/IP; and i'm talking about obviously what HAS changed. I'm talking about scale.

Routers and internet backbone connections get upgraded. Things go faster, soon they'll go so fast that a minor blip in latency will be so minuscule, that you won't even notice it on a service like OnLive.

I understand (by reading your posts through this thread) that you have a Zealot-like hate for on demand services, but come on now.. let's not twist people's words.

Cloud Gaming WILL happen, and OnLive is just a tad early, is all I was saying.

There was a time when "Gaming" over the internet was considered impossible. You must be young.

And I'm not denying that, so questioning your defensive nature, but elsewhere people claim this will "never work," and my point is that saying that is stupid.

Could you imagine what people would have said 15 years ago when Dialup was the norm? "Video over the internet, are you nuts? Do you know what kind of bandwidth that would take?", exactly. It's ONLY been 15 years.

15 years from now... networking will be very different; and this entirely plausible.

This does "work now", it's the network that needs to catch up. OnLive works well under perfect conditions; we just have to wait for those conditions to change.

Given how mainstream Steam has become, it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of its users don't even know what GOG is and thus don't know about the superior deal.

I'm a steam user. I know what GoG is and understand the superior deal, however I will still buy this game on Steam.

Why? Because I like my games all in one place. What if steam shafts us all? Well, I won't be alone then will I.

i think this WILL be a great idea ... but not any time soon. Way too soon, our technology right now doesn't allow for this to work properly.

Is this the future? Sure... but not right now it isn't. "The future" can be a long long time.

even as a free game, this game will bomb. It's just bad, it needs to be renamed, revamped and re-released as a good game, for free. Better yet, just drop it altogether.

i have a love/hate with Black Ops for the PC. Server browser: Fantastic, for when you care about the server you're playing on. Whats missing though, is the whole playlist system that is present on the consoles.

What if I just want to play Domination for hours on end? I love the playlist feature, and kinda miss it on the PC. Mind you, the PC version is the best version of the game when it comes to gameplay and graphics.

I don't see Black Ops as a replacement to games like Bad Company 2, let's see how deep the promised "modding" is for the game, let alone extended PC support.

For the record, i pre-purchased Black Ops because of this reason. Modding, PC Dedicated Servers and apparently they had an entire team devoted to the PC version of the game. SO, my expectations are pretty high.

Kinda ironic they announce this 1 day before Black Ops is released, this game will be a ghost town after tomorrow.

Once again, too little, too late DICE/EA.

I strongly disagree. This game will continue to thrive, it's very very very different from Black Ops. Sure, people will play BO for a while, but they'll come back.

I'm certain that Bad Company 2 is still the "better game" of the two, as it includes more vehicles and larger maps. They aren't really the same game.

Medal of Honor on the other hand........ might be a ghost town.

I am disappointed that EA is milking the shit out of the Battlefield franchise.

Medal of Honor multiplayer is 'technically' a Battlefield game without the name...

Battlefield Heroes was a complete joke. Bad Company 1 and 2 were ways to quickly cash in while they built up the engine for BF3.. (altho i enjoyed BC1 and 2)

This is going to be crapware; toss it next to Battlefield Heroes.

My bets are a 1942 remake for PC, and not BF1943.

They were working on 1943 for PC for some time, then went all hush hush about it. I'm thinking it's a full out 1942 remake... or i hope it is (with russians, germans, brits, usa and italy)
