I play WoW hardcore casual. I don't devote all my free time to it, I still have fun, and I have decent gear. That said, I really only PvP. Running the same dungeon over and over again hoping for a drop is not my idea of fun.

The time where WoW was a must play/must buy thing has long since passed.

How exactly is networking going to be very different 15 years from now? The basic fundamentals of networking have remained the same over the past FIFTY years. In order for two computers to talk to each other, packets of data have to be exchanged between the two of them. Since it's going out over a worldwide grid, routers have to be between them to tell each packet where to go. This is ALWAYS going to create latency.
Whether routers will eventually get powerful and smart enough to make this latency small enough that it becomes moot, is questionable though possible. However, we can eventually have a wifi network that connects earth to the moon, and it will STILL require routers and packets.

And I'm not denying that, so questioning your defensive nature, but elsewhere people claim this will "never work," and my point is that saying that is stupid.

Given how mainstream Steam has become, it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of its users don't even know what GOG is and thus don't know about the superior deal.

I don't see Black Ops as a replacement to games like Bad Company 2, let's see how deep the promised "modding" is for the game, let alone extended PC support.

Kinda ironic they announce this 1 day before Black Ops is released, this game will be a ghost town after tomorrow.
Once again, too little, too late DICE/EA.

The whole gaming industry, spearheaded by EA, is getting fragmented with the obsession of getting money out of everyone. Jesus fucking christ I want the old days back where we bought games and played games, period.
