You are not forced to install and use nanny software on your PC if you have the cracked versions. You do not need authorization or permission to use them and you do not have to authenticate them before you play them.

Looking forward to this on the PC. Editing tools could keep this title going for awhile. I hope they release them for the PC.

Delay it as needed. Big potential with this title.

eunichron, it is obvious that you are a newbie. your gripes are understandable, given the fact that ArmA/OFP is hardcore and like other hardcore games, pack a lot of depth into the keyboard.

Also, after a bit more experience, you can see enemies from a far distance, and with scope or binos, you can spot them even farther away.

Settings must be mysterious to the uninitiated. That is BIS's fault, because with an 8800, you can get decent frames at 1900x1200.

I have a simple E6600 and nVidia260/216 and the game runs great with 1600 viewdistance. Try 100% fillrate and low terrain detail. I have my post-processing set on very high and the game runs great.

I have to disagree about airplanes. They are great! ArmA1 was the first game where I could fly, bomb or shoot enemies, do recon and then land, refuel and rearm only to take off again on another sortie.

If you have the GPU and CPU juice, this game kicks serious derriere.

For Arma3, I would hope they add physics and a euphoria-type middle ware solution for animation.

I have a feeling that OFP:Dragon Rising is going to fall closer to COD4, which is basically Unreal Tournament with guns.

I can't wait for the cheats to be released for this version. Nothing could be more fun and ironic than cheating on official servers to gain honor! It's been a few years since I played AA and did that. Wonderful memories.

1. America is 80% religious. That is a big problem.
2. America hates gays.
3. America has no free health care for those in need yet pays 30% + in taxes.
4. America meddles in other countries affairs when it can profit from it.
5. America hates sex, unless it is paid for.
6. America loves Israel where the rest of the world despises it.
7. America worships money and fame, hates the needy and helpless.
8. While not uniquely American, Americans are some of the most racist, ignorant, intolerant and unintelligent people on earth.
9. America votes on skin color and religious standing, not on ability to run a country.
10. America had George Bush Jr. for 8 FUCKING YEARS!

I would agree with those facts, and as an American I can truly say that although your list is abridged, and can continue for many pages, it is nonetheless disheartening.

Obama is Bush Jr., and has continued the policies of Bush. In some cases he has gone even further, which is very unfortunate.

Congress has just approved an ADDITIONAL 100+ BILLION to kill more people and cause further destruction in foreign lands. PRAISE JESUS

I think it is a wonderful opportunity that millions are unprepared for digital TV. Perhaps there is a sliver of a chance that those Americans will benefit from not being subjected to the constant propaganda and manipulation of the 'news' that broadcast media presents to them, and instead, turn to other sources.

It is a small hope for America, but it is still hope.

Jesus created hell and, if your believe the tenets of this rather grotesque fairy-tale called christianity, he condems you to an eternity of torture and unimaginable pain unless you kiss ass and become servile to his whim.

I can not think of any videogame or comic book that has that much of a fucked-up backstory. At least with Quake2, you could exit the game. With this bizarre religion, not even death will excuse you from its perverted grip.

The term "War OF Terror" more accurately describes the huge civilian death toll and the overreach of American military power.

Let's do 1,000 911's on other countries and not think twice about it! That'll probably help.

Hopefully, unlike real life, we will be able to stop US military personnel from sodomizing young boys and killing detainees.

Nothing comes close to ArmA1. I have been playing EVOLUTION multiplayer as singleplayer and am on day3 of trying to defeat it. During that time, ArmA1 sits nicely in the background while doing work until I can spend another few hours taking over another town. With so much freedom and gameplay offered, it is no wonder it has taken them this long to get it polished. I have not experienced any bugs since 1.16 + tons of mods. BIS are amazing developers.

I am looking forward to ArmA2 and to OFP2.

The grass will stay down, which gives you a better view for sniping, plus you can see recent enemy activity.

It's hard being the best military sim on the market, but these guys know what they are doing. ArmA1 is without competition, and the 1.16 patch really fixed the speed issues. Granted, you have to have multiple cores and a decent GPU, but this is hardcore. You have to bring the right toys to the party. If you do, you will be rewarded with the best military sandbox game ever made.

The proper flashpoint sequel is ArmA2. ArmA is a known quantity - it is a peerless military sim. ArmA2 should be an improvement - we'll know in a few weeks.

At least ArmA2 has the short grass distance fixed, something that OFP:DR doesn't seem to have down. The landscape is barren textures at about 20 meters. Why all of the worm-eye screenshots with grass as a major element? It's because of this issue.
