Just check the official forums. There are (partially were after the patches) at least a dozen showstopper bugs that prevented any progress and dozens of gamebreaking bugs like the infamous stat bug, disappearing items or animal companions, invincible monsters, unlimited XP gain and all other sorts of seriously annoying crap.
Obsidian themselves have even made a "known issues and workarounds" thread for your perfect bugfree game but it's cool that you know the game better than its developer. /golfclap

Way to completely misread what I wrote. (/golfclap) I didn't say it was bugfree, I said I'd only encountered one so far (fixed by a save/reload). How many of these bugs have you actually encountered yourself, or is this just another vitriolic diatribe about something you haven't actually encountered?

Probably will do that anyway after this complete clusterfuck of a release riddled with showstoppers and gamebreakers outta the ass.
I think we must be playing a different game here. Halfway through act 3 and the only bug I've encountered so far was sorted by doing a save/reload. What exactly are you ranting about?

I did like the previous tropico games. Didn't get this one yet though and don't think I will now with all the DLC and expansions that are coming out so soon (or almost immediately) after release.
If you're going to do DLC at least take a page out of paradox's book and make it worthwhile. Crusader kings 2 is brilliant and the majority of the DLC that comes out adds even more good stuff to an already great game.

I'm going to pretend it's the end of 1999 and start of the millenium. UT just came out and epic are going to give me four great pieces of "DLC" and not even think about charging for it. Except back then it was just called "bonus packs"

I'm intrigued. I thought Wasteland 2 was great and did exactly what they set out to do at the start of the kickstarter, so am very interested on what they have in the pipeline post torment.

DVDs don't confirm that you fully comprehended the first act before letting you jump to your favorite scene in Act 2 (or make you suffer through the bad episodes of a TV show just to watch the good ones).

Every blu-ray I've bought recently has forced me to watch some cunting trailer for a movie that I'm never going to watch.
You used to be able to skip them via using the menu or top menu buttons but not anymore.

She's doing theatre in the west end over here in the UK at the moment and is getting fairly good reviews from the critics. Not sure if our drinking culture is going to get the better of her, should be interesting to see

Still funding some games on kickstarter, but not as many anymore. For me its more down to the quality and how much I want it.

Double Fine Adventure, Wasteland 2, Carmageddon, Project Eternity, Broken Sword, Shroud of the Avatar,Shadowrun Returns, Godus and Elite:Dangerous are all ones I've backed.

Wasteland 2/Shadow run returns/Broken Sword have delivered and I'm been very happy with the results. The rest I've seen enough of that I'm again happy with the way they're progressing.

At the moment there hasn't been any recent kickstarters that have piqued my interest, apart from possibly that mixology thing

MWO was fun in the beta, running around in hunchbacks and shit shouting SQUAWK. PGI completely fucked it though. Don't believe a word they're saying and advise anyone else reading not to buy into their shit.

I loved the gold gold box series. Pools of radiance -> Curse of the Azure Bonds -> Secrets of the Silver Blades.
My PC games started with an Amstrad 1512. CGA graphics, 512k ram. I remember crying when I realized the reason I coudln't get Ultima 6 to run was because I could never get above 600k base ram (the pac was limited to 512k),regardless of what I put in the autoexec.bat or config.sys......

I love me some dwarf fortress.

For the military I've found the best thing to get those guys effective is a danger room, basically it's a room with a single space in it for dwarfs to stand while training. Said space is home to a wooden training spear trap linked to a lever in a dining room which is being pulled repeatedly by some bored shortarse in there.
Your guys level up their weaponskills/armor/shield/dodge/etc very quickly.
I wouldn't recommend having females in the military though, they tend to give birth when training and the next thing you know it, Urist MuhammadI'mArdBruceLee has gone mad and is attacking other dorfs in your fortress because her newborn baby has just been impaled on wooden spikes.

I bought the Premium Beta and I was BLOWN AWAY by the flight model and the overall quality of the dogfights & visuals. I think this was the first time in 5 years that a game really wow'ed me. That x-wing, tie fighter nostalgia was right back...

Not quite sure how you can be "BLOWN AWAY by the flight model and overall quality of the dogfights and visuals" as only the people who paid for the alpha have full access yet. Those of us who signed up for the beta get the access in a couple of weeks...

You know, I originally was miffed about DA2, but since then so many franchises have been nuked from orbit this seems like a lesser transgression in hindsight.

The annoying thing about DA2 that completely ruined it for me was the repetition. How many times do you have to visit the same goddamn cave/piece of forest/dungeon via a different entry point? Plus the fact that every fight involved multiple waves of the same enemies magically appearing and just running at you. While DA:O was fairly clunky, there was a hell of a lot of content to sink your teeth into. DA2 just seemed a completely half-arsed rush out the door job and a slap in the face for anyone who pre-ordered based on their enjoyment of the first one.
Needless to say I won't be pre-ordering this. Don't see the point of pre-orders anymore, the whole point was for games that might sell out which just doesn't happen anymore. Also pre-orders for digital packages? It just encourages publishers to rip out parts of the game and nickle and dime you for it.

Has anyone tried Wizard Wars early access?

Anything that includes CK2 is not a bad deal. Ck2 is a damn fine game. If you're a Blues news boy, then you need to get CK2.
