@jacobvandy people play games because they are fun, not because of marketing. marketing helps fun games get played, so maybe sometimes it was necessary but not sufficient for success, but it can't make people play unfun games. lack of marketing can't make a game fun or unfun. lack of fun doesn't mean there was or wasn't marketing or success. and presence of fun doesn't mean there was or wasn't marketing or success. I know this is really complicated, but basically people go back to play apex after the first try because they think it's fun, and EA stopping marketing won't change how fun it is. this is all much ado about nothing though isn't it
