Woah - as one of those so called "Hacks" let's be real here. Before we came along Descent was wallowing in the sock drawer of Interplay, we loved the original, wanted to bring it back, or at least the type of game, so started to make "Ships That Fight Underground" or STFU for short, and were contacted by Interplay to license the name and make it an actual Descent game - we were OVERJOYED and jumped at the chance.

So, we all took a massive risk to bring back an IP that most gamers under 30 have no idea existed.

Calling us HACKS for taking a risk to bring back something we loved is insulting to say the least.

We are also fans of Overload - and backers - there is not a zero sum game here, we can all win by having more and more 6Dof games to play - there is not one winner to rule them all...many people play Battlefield and Call of Duty.

And for the record, we asked Matt and Mike to join us in making this game, but they decided to do their own 6Dof game Overload, and we totally respect that.

Our game is based upon Descent 1 and the flight mechanics and speeds, but we are adding a TON MORE GAME play for a modern audience, instead of one ship we have 9, all with roles to play, and special abilities, unlocks and such - it is a huge undertaking by a small team of developers (around 10), and we are doing it out of passion for the genre.

Please stop this us vs them nonsense, it is unnecessary and we as Devs don't participate in it, we want more good games.
