Blue with a mohawk? I can't see it, but then again I haven't seen Blue in person since QuakeCon '98 so dude could be sportin' an afro by now for all I know. Favorite memory of QC'98? Thinking I was the shit for sporting a brand spankin' new Dell 400 Mhz P2, burning CDs while playing Q2... those were the days...

Nah, I snagged it at Circuit City for $35, and it came with a $10 circuit city gift card, so that's only $25, assuming your willing to let Circuit City hold $10 for a while.

Worth every penny, but I should have taken today off work to hammer on it.

I jumped in, played the first two campaign missions on hard, actually lost once on the second map. Wassup with that? This might be a little bit of a challenge...

On to multiplayer, for those of us that live and breathe on BattleNet, multiplayer just got a whole lot more complex. Interestingly, you're WC3 stats are gone, it's a great chance to start fresh. I DO miss seeing a record of the 320 games I'd played, but enough of them were losses, and hell, I won my first two games on BattleNet tonight so I'm at 100% wins, which is nice.

I play undead and the undead enhancements are nice. Everything costs less gold, everythings a bit higher on wood. The new upgrades, units, and heros are very nice, the player built shop is great. But this game just got a HELL of a lot more complex, I'd go so far as to say 2x more complicated. You just have more options. With the items that raise corpses, the skeleton mages, the ability for meat wagons to PRODUCE corpses, and the new heros ability to produce scarabs from corpses, the undead are reaching new pinacles of undeadness, which is uber cool.

Moe likes. A lot.

This means no whoop ass Diablo 3... which would of course be three years out, but it would still whoop ass.

Hopefully this won't affect any Starcraft 2 we'd be seeing 3-4 years down the road... Blizzard always puts out the most consistently whoop ass games, but of course, I get the whoop ass award for using the most whoop asses in a post.

Please Blizzard... don't let this be a sign of things to come...

I tried to send a link to this story to Blue a little earlier but my mail to Blue keeps bouncing... could you check to see why you're refusing mail from the 'fuse.net' domain? I mean, I got whoop ass shit to say...

I've been unable to download the fekking game from FilePlanet. I have a personal server account, but every time I try and download it from FP it stalls out anywhere between 2 and 30 megs. Ridiculous. Never had this problem with FP before. Downloading from 3DGamers now. If FP doesn't get their act together they are going to lose my buisiness.

Any one else having problems with FilePlanet?

I hope the final game is better than the demo, because the demo absolutely blew. I love Star Wars as much as the next guy. The music was cool, the menus cool, but the games smacks of the same RTS crap they put out 4 years ago. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Back in '95-'96 when Stomped was still a young whipper snapper (before Quake was even released) I was hanging out in efnet (or undernet, I don't remember) #quake. One of the guys running Stomped came into the channel all frantic because one of the guys working on the site had wiped out the front page and they had no backup. Me being the gracious guy I am dug around in my browser cache on disk and pulled up a copy, DCC'd it to him, and all was well.

Not really a big deal, but it's still my favorite Stomped story.
