But repopulation is back. They worked out a deal with the engine folks and got it going again. My old character was still there too.

This game is fucking confusing. I can't seem to really get into it. It's a weird kind of game that I've never played before. I've had this game on my PC for a couple of years at least, and I go back to it every so often, but it still never really makes sense to me, and I'm not even sure if I like it or not... I can't describe it. :/

Perfect way to describe it. I'm in the same boat. I've installed the game a number of times, but I just can't get into it.

cool gonna try out Titan fall..

heard titan fall 2 had a good single player campaign.. how is it in the original ?

There isn't one. It was multiplayer only.

As for Unravel, I thought it was pretty cool at first, but it's just not really the type of game for me. Not too big on puzzle type games.

May have to pick this up...We shall see....

Ok I'm sold on the GI-Joe Cobra tank, and driving over Hungry Hungry Hippo's. (The only game my sister and I had for a total of 5 mins before it was promptly taken away due to noise, and replaced with a rubik's cube that my dad spent 5 mins turning just to make it impossible to solve).

Heh. Yeah, that game was friggin LOUD!

I agree with all of the comments about live-tv. I'd also like to throw out one of my own: convenience. When I want to watch something, I want to just select it and start watching. I don't want to plan things around a show. I remember hating that as a teenager. Wanted to do something, but damnit, X-Files is on in 10 minutes!

Conditions Apply: You need

- a free Sony Entertainment Network account,
- PlayStation Now-compatible device (including compatible Windows PC or PS4),
- a compatible DualShockŪ4 controller,
- 5Mbs or greater broadband Internet connection,

"including compatible Windows PC or PS4." Does this mean I don't need to buy a PS4? The "or" implies this.

You don't need a PS4. It's just that the service can be used on a PS4.

Certainly not worth %6 a month so why do they think that $10 a month would be something people would want.

They certainly have a unrealistic idea what the few good shows they have are worth.

Yep. Also, I signed my wife up for it a while ago (maybe last year), cause they had some shows she wanted to watch that weren't available anywhere else. What was lame is that they didn't even have full series available. Several shows only had the latest season, or last two seasons or so, which was pretty much the same as Hulu. Our subscription did not last long.

Maybe silly Hollywood action directors will watch this video and learn some things about making an exciting and realistic chase.

That's what I was thinking while watching that. Way more thrilling than a movie chase. Friggin stupid too. Either of them could have died or killed someone else during that.
The address for the video has the name ghostrider in it. Not sure if it's really him, but a few years ago I checked out some of his videos. Damn good rider, but he's a fuckin nut job.

My Windows 10 already has a game mode, it is called Steam. It also has a secondary game modes they are Origin and Uplay...

What I read on other sites it seems this will only work for UWP games. So probably not your steam collection then

Source?

I was reading that it's an OS thing, not a game-platform thing. It just detects a full-screen app (I'm assuming any full-screen app, I'm hoping) and you can toggle the behaviour if it will lock all the background bullshit down. I just want a switch on the settings UI that says "game mode" and all of a sudden I have all my RAM, CPU cycles, and the Network only allows user-selected apps to do anything. That's a dream Windows live performance setup.

What was that site? Black something? It had a list of all the old XP services in windows you could turn off without borking your system. Used to use it to tune old PCs before they became powerful enough to just not really bother. Most of that shit's still there, and a switch to turn it all off that doesn't involve editing registry keys would be positively delightful.

*edit HA! found it. MajorGeeks has an archive, as the original is down. Black Viper they called it. So great. Still relevant.

Blackviper was awesome. Just did a search, and looks like he's got something for Win10

I thought someone was working on one. I swear I remember hearing about that. May be confused though.

Their daughter was 5. They were hit by another guy, who was using FaceTime.

Still, it's not Apple's fault. It's the idiot driver.

Ok, someone explain the logic behind this? The Witcher 3 GOTY edition is $30 while the DLC-less original release is still...$40? WTF?! That makes absolutely NO sense to me whatsoever.

I like deals and sales, who doesn't? But when you can't understand the logic behind some of the choices at times, it kinda makes the ol' credit card slink back in the wallet...

=-Rigs-=

This is what I have been saying - their pricing is all jacked up most of the time.

It's a shame there isn't a Metacritic type site that takes all the deals from all these sites and puts it into one big list. I know there are some sites that kinda do that but one just specifically geared toward games. There are so many of these 'key' selling sites, I never knew! I was aware of and have used G2A before but I didn't know about Kinguin until today, nor was I aware of Bundlestars. I, of course, knew about Humble.

But we, here, at Blues, are a niche bunch. Those that are more casual, that think GameStop is hardcore (compared to Best Buy or Wal-Mart), probably don't know about these other sites. STEAM and GoG are the best known, I would imagine. And, as has been found, their pricing can be...confusing at times.

All I want is a list of games on one side and then a column for each site going across with their price for said game. And maybe highlight the lowest one (and put a purty green check mark next to it, too! ). Somebody here whip that up for us? I know we got some master programmers with L33T skilLz, yo! Script Kiddies welcome, too! Just don't ransomware my system while you're at it, eh?

MoreLuckThanSkill wrote on Dec 16, 2016, 14:54:
On the one hand, the premise of this game seems interesting. On the other hand, sounds like this is the ultimate griefing bullshit game, anybody with some actual experience playing it?

Why don't I just download it, you ask? Well, like most people under an ISP monopoly, I currently have a data cap.

Since you haven't gotten a reply, I'll throw in my two cents:

I only just grabbed it during the free weekend, so I only have about an hour and a half on it so far. With that said, here's some bullets for ya (in no particular order):

  • I don't see any griefing, at least in the early game. However, looking at Steam reviews, apparently that changes in the later game, due to perks

  • You gain points per match, which you spend on perks, equipment, etc.

  • On the survivor side, you have to repair some generators which give power to a door. Once that door is powered, you can open it to escape

  • Teamwork is definitely needed, as you can save each other, heal each other, and repair the generators together

  • On the killer side, you damage the people, then hang them up on hooks. Survivors can try to get off themselves, or have a teammate help them off. If that fails, they are sacrificed, and out of the game

  • After you escape, or are sacrificed, you have the option of going to another game, quitting altogether, or spectating your teammates

  • You have some warning when the killer gets close, with a sound cue of your heartbeat speeding up

  • A downfall is that there are no dedicated servers. The killer is the host of the game, so you're dependent on their connection. In my experience, it was pretty good, however

  • No in game chat. Survivors can only point, or motion to follow. Would be nice to have a thank emote though

  • When a killer is carrying someone, that person can try to wiggle free. Interestingly, it affects your heading when you're doing the carrying. Like the person is actually causing you to stagger

  • I know I'm forgetting some things, but that's all I can think of right now. So far, I think it's pretty damn fun. However, I can see it getting old after a bit, since, while there are different maps, there's only the one game mode.
