Echoing the many sentiments from PC players around the world: Pretty please with sugar on top, improve your crappy updates system before doing anything else.
I find it rather strange that the first thing my prehistoric i7 CPU can't run is not a modern graphics heavy shooter, but rather a minor graphical update to a 21 year old game. Hopefully they will undo whatever they did because the beta ran just fine and I am not buying a new CPU / mobo / RAM for this. If I made it this long I can wait for prices and supply on components to improve again.
I'm on the same boat here amigo, good ol' AVX instruction set strikes again. It's so damn weird thing that the early access beta didn't even require it and the game ran perfectly fine compiled on legacy SSE2 instructions, why they would switch is anyone's guess.
This is on an admittedly old i5 PC that can run Flight Simulator 2020 just fine on medium settings.
To think I originally got directed to playing Slain from the Youtube comments for a Celtic Frost song of all things, "If you like Celtic Frost you're gonna like this game!"

Every single time one of these ARMA 3 DLCs comes out, I look at the trailer, go "Wow that looks great", I get peer pressured into reinstalling the game and immediately regret it when the damn thing runs at about 20 fps on the best of days. It's one of those games that I always want to love but it does everything in its power to make that impossible.

And much like the real deal- if your DRM protected John Deere breaks down in the game, you have to fork over for the 400 dollar DLC to repair it cause gosh darn it, they just can't trust you enough to do it yourself.

I saw a total of 150k concurrent players last I checked, no wonder the servers are now a smoldering crater.
D4V: It's a cool mod, the most impressive part is that it is dehacked based meaning you can run it with the original Doom 2 executable but because of this, it's rather basic at emulating Doom 2016 when it comes to features, it's more of a Doom 2016 skin than it is a conversion. For more feature rich ZDoom alternatives, take a look at Doom 4 Doom, Death Foretold and ARGENT. D4D is my personal favorite of the bunch.
