thats the one! did you play the full version? didnt it have online play? i had a macintosh version of the game.

Sure did, it was alright, though the missions got a bit frustrating towards the end with the difficult battles that would totally mooch off your health followed by some silly boss. Multiplayer was just standard deathmatch and team deathmatch, you'd probably have a real hard time finding other players unless you get a group together to play.

Capcom also blames the recession for the lower sales of its titles.

It's probably more due to Lost Planet 2 being crap.

The second I saw Shadow of the Beast running at a computer shop was the day I fell in love with the Amiga.

The officiating this time around was horrendous on all levels compared to the past seven tournaments I've seen.

The vuvuzelas didn't bother me much as I'm used to something similar every time I go to any of the local team's matches: Everyone brings one of those little airhorn-in-a-can things and blasts them during the entire duration of the match, and they sound even louder than a vuvuzela.

I think the reason why everyone started hating on the FIFA series was because the Pro Evolution Soccer was just a much better series at the time, though I don't know if that's still the case.

Way to get defensive guys. It's just games like that seem to work better as a beer and pretzels game around a bigscreen TV. You don't exactly see an abundance of this kind of game on the PC so I can't be the only one with that opinion.

Not to be a total smartass but these days you can also easily plug a PC into a big screen TV and get amazing graphics too. I'm pretty sure you can also have a PC in conjunction with beer and pretzels, but you'd have to consult your manual for that.

I'm still a bit shocked at how long it took them to fix the mounted machine gun view ports when running the game under DX9.

For those not in the know: These MGs have a little bullet proof window on them that is supposed to be transparent but was completely solid when running under DX9, making the MG more useless than anything.

I don't remember precisely how long DICE let this bug slide (The MGs had working windows in the beta), but it was one of those things that should have been stealth patched quickly. I just don't see how this bug could be have been hard to fix at all, just modify a texture and be done with it.

I can't wait for 20 more hours of:

"Machine gunner... At... 12... o'clock!"

"Oh no... *In deep voice* 3... *In nasally voice* Is down!"

"Go I'll cover!... Go I'll cover!... Go I'll cover!... Go I'll cover!... Go I'll cover!"

Seriously Bohemia, either do squad chatter right or rip it out of the game. This is the one thing Dragon Rising did right so just copy it from that game, don't worry, we won't tell anyone.

The price was too steep, I'd buy it for 10 bucks so I'm holding off on some sort of sale on Steam.

I'd like to add though that while I didn't purchase the game when it was released, I didn't download a pirate copy either.

or some WW1 game

And we thus come to a problem, where the one thing the Total War series does well (Rank and file combat) was on its way out by the time WWI rolled around, giving way to smaller movements and just spraying the shit out of everything with machine guns and explosives.

I'm thinking there won't be anything from after the civil war from Creative Assembly until they seriously rework their engine.

And I'm not even talking about the DLC here.
