Is this the most milked game in PC gaming history?

They are sure getting some longevity through updating to use new generations of hardware features.

Cloud computing is a stupid idea.

Having suffered through many migrations on customer requests to 'the cloud' it's resulted in HIGHER costs.

Cloud providers typically do not provide the administrative services customers require, and forcing administrators to use crappy web consoles of limited capability INCREASES the cost of administration, and slows down response time.

Troubleshooting issues is even worse, as the ratio of technicians to users is lower, so you lose money there from lost productivity.

God help you if a client wants to do something 'unusual'.

Then there's the security issues.
Then there's the bandwidth costs.
Then there's the slower performance.

Server hardware and storage isn't that expensive these days. Software licensing is rarely any different than the cloud version.

Looks somewhat interesting, but what the hell, it seems like this came out of nowhere... I've never even seen a hint of a teaser before now, and it's coming out in January?

Also gg, Games Workshop, way to carpet bomb the gaming scene.

But it's definitely most anticipated! seriously.... by who exactly?

The UK drifts more and more to being a fascist anti-foreigner surveillance state.. sad ;/

The "City of London" is the center of the power elite, with a very interesting History.

It's not surprising that surveillance that protects THEIR interests is enacted within the host country.

But if he is smart, he will not step into Germany as long as the current gov parties (CSU/CDU+SPD) are in power or anywhere near it.

They would question him, thank him, and kick his ass on a plane to Washington.

Yeah no. The man has done more to expose the corruption of the intelligence agencies and secret court of the United States than anyone in History.

There's a whole heap of 'correction' needing to be done within the political, legal and intelligence communities in the US before it is safe to return.

Best solution is to stop this culture of data collection and storage for data mining.

Far more data is collected than is needed to do things like perform a transaction.

Whilst datamining is profitable, and a core business aim of a lot of IT companies, it's just enabling too much crap.

Oh hellls yeah! I think a lot of people have been saying that for a long time. Sensitive date holders - health, insurance, banks, et al - need to be held responsible for their security. It's not like they don't have deep enough pockets, they simply choose not to do it so they can pocket the monies instead.

Let's make the NSA etc stop using back doors and maybe we can start holding companies to account for breaches.

So sick and tired of patching backdoors like heartbleed was.

Wow on the Assange hate headline.

There was no rape claim by anyone other than a swedish policeman and a swedish prosecutor - both friends of a right wing paper with ties to the US state department.

I guess if you repeat a lie often enough, gullible people will think 'the news can't lie' and think it's the truth.

zero rated = bad.

What it means is that we get raped for other data, so are forced into using 'authorised' channels of communication.

all traffic should be free, and we should be getting charged for the RATE at which we can retrieve data (since it's actually related to network capacity) instead of How much we get.

Banking all over again.

If it's on origin it's not free - if it was a direct download without any extra hooks into your computer system, or any other data collection maybe..

Right - we can trust facebook.

I doubt, very much, that the data is not accessible by facebook in some way.

Game looks great, but I have to wonder if in 2016 they couldn't have come up with a different weapon system from Doom/Duke Nukem/Quake's "Shotgun", "Plasma Gun", "Chainsaw weapon", "Gatling Gun that runs out of ammo way too fast", etc.

Because it's based on the weapons in Warhammer 40K - which predates Doom.
