Well I am Australian so if you care to point which Aus site you found out about it first I'd be heaps interested.

Rather amazing over here how many people don't seem to care how much the IP and Copyright laws in Australia are now being heavily influenced by American media companies. Sometimes we get wins with judges but not all the time.

It's okay Ant we've got blue.

Just think Taken, instead with a BBQ busting bad ass with dogs at his side saying "Your password will be taken, but I will find them".

Then he goes on some crazy ass adventure to kill the little hackers around the world. Pow pow pow, another hacker goes down.

LOL! Nice! Yea I think most the folks at Blues are close in age at least Gen X. It's always nice to hear from a client that thinks you do good quality work. I'm of the mindset that cutting corners will just lead to more problems. Fix the issue & then go back & double check it to make sure it does not happen again.

I am a Gen Y (I dislike the whole gen system, but that is where I fall) and I could not imagine a system without console access. I don't work in tech support but sometimes help others with their pcs and even deal with my own.

It was sad to see at uni during my comp sci courses the people who had no idea how to use command line interfaces... the linux class was hilarious after doing the course on Windows based command prompt.

I've also heard the "I think you do a better job because you don't even need the mouse". I love hot keys, especially since I spent half my time using a laptop on the move. I hate touch pads so hot keys are far more efficient.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to feature new playable character as DLC.

Eww... The game looks fun, but this sounds like Capcom with it's crappy DLC/new version setup.

Maybe the Feds are involved in regards to the previous property that was meant to be sold in another state which some employees just got payment demands for.

I figure that it is across state property crimes? Would that not involve the FBI?

Such things can include suspect accounting practices also, so maybe... I wonder if the IRS will chime in.

This is all from my limited knowledge of american law and accounting enforcement agencies

What in the hell am I reading? Came for comments on 38 studios and get to see what has to be the dumbest attempt at trying to abuse the english language by twisting the meanings of words.

Stick to talking about the games.

Anybody got any in game videos or screenshots of their mmo? Other than the environment preview video blues posted the other week? If anybody has already posted some, I am sorry but I am about to go through 60 or so BS comments about American politics to find them =(

Most people don't even think about that and send messages about private matters all the time, sometimes even illegal matters. They just aren't bright enough to realise they are being tracked.

Saves them on text messages, so they are happy. That being said, the companies charging crazy amounts for what a text message is along with a limit per message is the real crazy thing.

Australia here, I have a 500gb cap on a 100/2mb line. It is pretty easy to go over 250gig. Especially since our upload and download is counted.

I usually hover around 200-300gig assuming no extra things come up. I don't have cable tv and only recently even bought a tv that could handle Digital signals and still don't watch it. Download everything, and watch it.

Wish more companies would release their older content at cheap prices, many shows I want to watch from the past but I can't find on dvd let alone via a online store.

Caps blow, but they aren't too bad when they are the right size for your requirements. I don't support caps, just know in Australia they aren't going away.... Even our "unlimited" plans on dsl have limits here...

Are you suggesting that the segway didn't change the world?

I looked forward to playing with people. Why is that difficult to understand? This isn't the type of game I play on my own, half the fun would be playing with people.

I enjoy playing games with my wife and brother... Maybe Orcs Must die 2 will offer co-op and get a purchase from me.

Silly bluesnews rules, should have asked for permission to post a negative =D

The only person who morally (I've long since ceased to give a shit about the legal aspect of copyright) owns the rights to the DotA name is the mod maker, and he is nowhere to be found in this mess. Given that, as far as I am concerned all of the corporate tards and their sleazeball lawyers on both sides can die in a fire. Screaming. With bloody diarhea.

That would be "Eul" who now works for valve... Though he got his idea off a SC craft mod, but he was the first to use the Dota name.

Only the lawyers will win... glad I'm married to one!

Also Valve has 2 people who worked one it, the first one who made it "Allstars" and the current maintainer. Icefrog and Eul or something (their names mean nothing to me).

There is a company called Dota Allstars LLC or similar that owns the Defense of the Ancients trademark that was done back around 2005 or similar. It is currently owned by Blizzard (they bought the company from somebody who also had a lot to do with the Dota allstars website).

It's a big fkin mess, and the easiest thing would be if Valve avoided the name... Blizzard does have a right on some level but at the same time they don't. Valve put their hand in the cookie jar and wanted to paint their name on it.

The Blizzard EULA also has something about mods and ownership... but I haven't seen it to comment on that.

As I started... the lawyers will win and the gamers will come away knowing that both wasted time and money and should have avoided the situation in the first place.

Should they have to? Nope. Movie companies only do it to boast to other movie companies. Game developers don't seem to care to share.

They are allowed to spend their money as they see fit. Just like any other business (within the confines or legal business practices and requirements for shareholders if a corp.)
